PLS! What is TF2 sniper like? No swaying when you scope and you don't have to be crouching to get it to stop swaying. It should be more like counter strike where moving adds dispersion, but it's not going to move the scope. As for crouching I always thought the movement speed was way too slow and it would be cool if it lowered your profile a bit. It would be fun if crouching gave a weak cloaking effect, to simulate the lower visual profile that this would normally grant. Fun for ambushes.
So TF2 snipers are like UT2k4 lightning guns, but with scope?
Also, Rattati apparently thinks about having equipment resupply through nanites. ******* finally. Though I guess it would be broken if equipment could create equipment, especially if nanite costs of equipment is high. Grenades already insta-kill nanohives that would be far more useful for the players whose guns actually don't have any ammo anymore. The most important thing would be for supply centers to finally replenish equipment.
If even 20% of that list came true, I'd be quite happy. |

PLS! What is TF2 sniper like? Basically you have to spent at least 3.3s aiming with your scope before you deal 100% of the sniper rifles damage. If you fire immediately the damage is reduced to 1/3rd of normal damage. But there is no sway.

Thank you very much for shairing this. It's useful to know what's being considered.
The vast majority of the items in there I either love, like, or at least find interesting.
Here's some feedback on ones I have concerns with or specific feedback that may be useful:
better FW warbarge strikes (in list "IDEAS - UNSORTED") A note that the ideal solution here is to make it easier for pilots to provide OBs. Of course that is more of an EVE side thing and you may have little direct control there.
4 man squads ? (in list "IDEAS - BATTLES, INSTALLATIONS AND MODES") Wary of this. Squads are one of the few social tools we have; wary of decreasing that.
Should Codebreakers be high? (in list "IDEAS - EQUIPMENT AND MODULES") I waould say yes. Need more stuff in Highs, and most Scout stuff is jammed into Lows alraedy, scoothing CBs to Highs would provide more fitting options for everybody.
PG upgrades are almost never useful (in list "IDEAS - EQUIPMENT AND MODULES") I would suggest moving these to Highs. Parially for reasons mentioned above, but also armor uses both PG and Low slots; moving PG upgrades to High would alleiviate this. My ideal solution here though is for both CPU and PG upgrades to be slot agnostic. The main thing you're sacrificing with the fitting module is the slot itself; don't see why we need to restrict players to a specific slot type.
Cloak deactivation delay - wait 10 seconds until can be activated after being deactivated (in list "Evaluation") ]In general probably a good idea, but 10 seconds seems long to me. How about 10 seconds default, but have a skill that can push it down to 5 or 7 seconds.
WP for killing an incapacitated clone (in list "Evaluation") The guiding logic of WP rewards is that anything that helps your team win should be rewarded. That philosophy has served us very, very well in the past. I'm going to break with that here, though. I'm concerned the effects this would have on the dynamic of the revive system. ie: If we reward killing downed clones, then there will be less downed clones; and therefore even less reason to equip the Nanite Injector.
Reduce number of ambush maps, reduce number of skirmish 5 point maps (in list "Evaluation") Maybe this is to help set up some other feature, but in the absence of that, I don't understand why in a game starving for more content, we are deleting existing content.
Payouts based on isk destroyed (in list "Warlords 1.1") Deeply concerned about how this will effect rewards for support players. Especially given many are already are having trouble running ISK neutral. |

Ummm Mr. Rattati, this is incredible. I am most curious, what is stopping you from implementing these? Much of the community would live to discuss this and give active feedback. Do you pick certain things from your list to develope first, or do your Hotifxes get approved by someone else? Because your ideas, 98% are sound, and the other 2% can be made sound. The one thing I didn't see at all is fixing the inability to sell certain items. Like all of my Amarr basic armor plates and such. I've developed an OCD about keeping my assets tidy.

Combed through it and nice job. Only thing I can think of that is missing is when armour hardners are active on a dropship, gunners are reporting a black screen.

If it's done correctly, we could have a Crysis-like experience for high level players. Momentary boosts of power that have to be controlled properly in order to make the most out of them. Imagine active myofibrills that add melee damage and lots of jumping power. The Sentinel jumps over a wall, fists a few guys and then starts shooting his HMG. Hell, such a module would basically be an equivalent to jump jets. However, the clumsy equipment wheel might be an issue there, as well as the fact that all pieces of equipment run on separate energy supplies. |

Ha visto questa problema? I did not recall seeing anything pertaining to changing the colors of the HUD. If possible, can the HUD overlay have a negative contrast to the rest of the content on screen? It's not a top priority, but it'll ease my mind knowing it is at least in the backlog.

Now that I think about it too, Rattati, what do you about nerfing strafing speed nerf and inertia when changing strafe directions? The game has turned less into a tactical shooter and more into a twitch shooter because of that. Which turns a lot of people off. And the only people this strafe nerf would be hurting would be the ones that ecploit it because of the bad hit detection.

The hit detection on melee hits with scouts and assault suits is very bad on moving targets, it is still bad against moving heavy suits using many plate modules. this is because the image on my screen is showing where the enemy was 0.1 seconds ago. Even if I hit the image at a range of 0.4 meters the game still does not detect the hits because the enemy is too fast for the server to keep up with 100% accuracy (small amounts of lag)
I would suggest making the melee action acts like nova knifes where the melee does not do damage at a point in the middle of the screen, but it creates an arch of damage like the nova knifes.
I would also suggest increasing the range of melee by 0.5 meters to help with hit detection against enemies that are moving away from the player that is using melee. |
