The part I don't get is why they were wanting to bomb them during WW2 and where is it written with the word you speak?

All America has ever tried to do is gain security. We made several attempts to enter both the Baltic Sea and southern seas of Russia, but we only saw success in the Mediterranean seas.

Carriers generally were in area's they could be resupplied and acted as mobile command center - if america was going to drop an H-Bomb on anyone, it was going to be from a Carrier.

But we couldn't do much with U-boats blowing everything up, so there was no hope to H-Bomb russia *Can't nuke Europe for obvious reasons* and add in the massive size of russia and the fuel required by the plane to get back - it wasn't happening.

And if you check reports, we did train pilots to drop H-Bombs in europe, we just never did anything with 'em. *Found this info just recently on google*

Carrier would be required. There's no fuel station nearby Russia like there is with Japan. Japan faced similar issues when they engaged us from so far away with no islands nearby to hop around on or set up camp.
