Maybe adding another weapon if possible, preferably heavy.
Give a buff to the commando and assault class, not HP buffs, but perhaps an extra equipment slot or a buff to eWar.
Buff ADS, the nerf was too harsh paired with installations being God now.
Give tanks a more useful role, make the blaster a threat again. Missing shots from a scout right in front of you is ridiculous.
Reduce headshot damage on sniper rifles (c'mon now, it's really bad), fix reticle (I liked the old, old one better)
I tried to be realistic and I think all of these are doable, the new weapon + map may be a stretch, but hopefully we can pull it off.

Personally, i think the vehicles need some serious love.
1) Fixing the ADS: this entails improving surviability vs Swarms, fixing the ROF issue, adjusting turrets, and fixing a 2.4 million (4.8 mil for those who specialzed in both ships) SP bonus that 0 bonus in an incubus is nearly identical to a level 5 python and vice versa.
2) Fixing supply depot locations: As anybody who tanks know, having inacessible supply depots on top of sockets is pretty useless.
3) Fixing location inaccessible: This has gotten extremely large on some maps, especially on Fracture road. Running pretty far in line of sight of AV to call in a tank or dropship, or even an lav. Tone it down
4) Fixing the redline on Impact Ridge. Sorry but currently its just completely stupid. Sorry if any devs take offense but theres no other way to describe it. Putting the redline withing 100 m of an domination objective, meaning that a sniper/ redline rail tank can shoot from one redline into the other and still be 150 - 200 m away from any sort of retaliation. Or heaven forbid you try to attack that rail tank, he can roll back another 400 meters...WTF. Hey, i would like to intercept enemy ships before they land on the rooftops, sorry i have less than 100m to shootdown a dropship moving roughly 50m/s. Kill it dead and bring back the old redline.
Game Priorities:
1) Matchmaking. Sorry but though the MU ratings improved the mixup somewhat, most games are still 1 sided stompfests
2) Content, and not AUR content. I mean racial vehicles and pilots suits. Took no time to render in a stripper vendor, and the racial vehicles are going to be built for legion anyway. Even placeholders, pilot suit should be a scout suit with 1 equipment slot and side arm only. Reskin the vehicles and give them Minmatar and Amarr based slot layouts.
3) Scouts/Shotguns: I have no idea why these twohasn't been fixed yet. Why is the creodorn proto shotgun 29K? Why do militia weapons 3 shot a heavy, and one shot most medium frames? Hit detection on cal scouts is still buggy, i have a basic cal light frame and there have been times where i damn near stood still and toe to toe killed a heavy with an hmg. Situations where i would have died every other time i survived in cal scout. Something is up.
4) Bolt pistol: Standard does more base damage than an ADV sniper rifle. If no scoping bad for the game, then why can i do better than the equivalent circle strafing with the bolt pistol?
5) Ewar: Rattatis ideas to make more suits harder to detect after people said scouts are too hard to detect, and to nueter the gal logi scans and all active scanners because team vision which he re-introduced are counter productive IMO. However, there does need to be an ewar shakeup, by making detection not so sacrificial to medium frames.

Scouts to have a role that isn't killing.
I didn't sign up to be a walking death machine, that kinda just happened. I want a tangible eWAR role for all scouts, and a combat side that they excel in.
For example: Lets say that the new "Motion Detector" equip idea goes through.
Min Scouts would have a bonus to this Detectors Precision, profile dampening, and a NK bonus. This makes them good at detecting targets, staying hidden, and assassination. By using their speed and passive dampening, they can get behind lines, plop down a detector and assassinate targets behind enemy lines, even if they are dampened.
Gal Scouts would have a bonus to this detectors Range, profile dampening, and Codebreakers. This makes them effective at infiltration with dampening and codebreakers to quickly flip enemy munitions and objectives. The range boost helps those links keep targets lit up for the team.
Amarr scouts would have a bonus to detectors Range, scan precision, and Armor Repair. Excellent at point defense due to their higher average HP, a detector has extended range for med frames and good precision for detection of damped units getting close to the objective. Armor repair helps them maintain combat effectiveness, as their large (comparatively) armor tank can take awhile to regen.
Caldari Scouts would have a bonus to detectors precision, scan range, and scan precision. The eWAR specialists, they are best suited to maintaining high fidelity scans all around them, with decent range to boot. However, they are easier to detect when compared to other scouts, and rely on their shielding and eWAR to help them survive.
These aren't concrete examples, but they give you an idea of what I want. Each has a definitive role as you can see: which can be summarized as follows:
NOTE: These roles are defined towards med frames. Scout v Scout combat is still very much a "fight in the dark" if both sides are fitted properly. This is necessary to prevent any one of the scouts from being able to scan and trump the others, like we had way back in Caldari Scout514
Minmatar: Hunters Gallente: Infiltrators Amarr: Defenders Caldari: Detectors
I also tried to throw in some limiting factors.
Gallente and Minmatar are strongest when their equipment is deployed. The Minmatar's and Gallente's equipment precision/range lets them detect their targets and assassinate them. Without it, they are blind essentially, due to lack of eWAR modules and their cloak field. For them to succeed, they need to be able to infiltrate an area and lay down their equipment, and are kinda limited to that area. The Minmatar is confined to a small, but precise area, being able to detect lone enemies when they pass though, or bail if they see a full squad. Or even set up a deadly trap with remote explosives (This is how I've always imagined the Minmatar, but we have terrible eWAR. I've always wanted that changed)
The Gallente has a much larger area to work with, but is susceptible to a scout or heavily damped unit coming into their area. To counter this, the Gallente are also heavily damped, and sport a decent armor tank. They can easily run into a person and win due to their armor and high damage plasma weaponry. Hack mods are use dt
Amarr and Caldari have strong eWAR on their own, and benefit the team when their equipment is deployed. For example: The Cal scout really doesn't even need the equipment himself. His own passive eWAR is strong enough. His strength is by being able to effectively cover two area's at once, since he can plop down his detector and put himself elsewhere. For example, he can put a motion detector into a high traffic area and sit back at range with a RR, lighting people up as they walk in. If someone comes to kill him, he uses his passive eWAR to detect them, cloak and avoid. If they have good precision and keep stalking you, you can slowly pull them toward other team-mates, setting up an ambush.
The Amarr also has high fidelity scans, and has the low slots to fit range extenders. He helps his team by placing himself on the point and his equipment in an area where it can cover the most ground. With his high stamina, defense and hack speed, he is perfect for roaming the city, looking for targets (Such as that pesky minmatar scout or gallente) and then being able to make it back to an objective and counter hack when he gets there (Being able to detect the lone soldier that did it and eliminate him).
Get the picture?
All these stats being said: I also want to get rid of tons of HP on scouts.
I never EVER want to see a scout with more HP than this in their main tank (Shields or Armor)
Minmatar: 270 (2 Complex Shields) Caldari: 308 (2 Complex Shields) Gallente: 327 (2 Complex Ferroscales) Amarr: 377 (2 Complex Ferroscales)
Hopefully with the way the bonuses play out and other mods are encouraged, this will be the ideal amount of health a scout will run with.
Optimal fits I see with the above:
Minmatar: 2x Shields, 1x Precision (or sidearm damage) 2x Damp 1x Speed (2 damps are needed to counter the profile penalty from shields)
Gallente: 1x Shield, 1x Precision 2x Damp (Shield would add profile) 1x Ferro 1x Repair (Decent spread of speed, stealth, and regen, all needed for an infiltrator)
Amarr: 2x Precision, 2x Ferro 1x Repair 1x Damp
Caldari: 2x Shields 2x Precision 1x Damp 1x Range
I tried to separate them into "Offensive oriented scouts" and "Defense oriented scouts", with both having good bonuses for eWAR in both situations and still maintain combat effectiveness. Hell, I even gave away my favorite bonus in the game (Hack Speed) to the Amarr because it just made more sense to me from the new role perspective I gave.
As I said, It's not perfect, and there are probably a few flaws in here, but this is the kind of interaction I want.
I also ran out of room, and hit the character limit. Damn.

Factional warfare 1.-Some things that you can introduce in FW is a better rate for officer weapons, for example. in pubs let's say that you have a probability to get an officer weapon with a rate of 1/100, in factional warfare you can increase that drop rate by increasing your standings lvl 1 = 1/100 lvl 2 = 1/50 lvl 3 = 3/100 this until lvl 5 or 6 so you can heavenly increase that drop rate, this to attract more attention with fw games (maybe depending on the faction you can slightly increase the drop rate for their weapons, for example gallente with PLC, Shotgun, AR, etc) 2.-also you can introduce GK1, AK1, MK1 etc like used to be in the beta, for example (vk1 and vk0) 1 idea that had ccp for the caldari sentinel was 3 high slots 2 low slots, for gallente sentinel 1 high slot 4 low slots, with the suits that you believe that can have a second variation 3.-Specialist side arms 4.-some special goodies like the apex suits, but way better.
Weapons This is mainly to make a full variation in models, heavy gallente and amarr weapons, maybe some kind of SMG that deals damage on shields (instead just armor like right now) variations of breach tactical and things like that
Vehicles We have seen long time fights between gallente and caldari, for tank, DS, lav, it would be nice to have the old vehicles back, surya, kubera, sagaris, chacram etc... balanced of course good difference between enforcers and marauders, maybe longer range for enforcers, more damage to marauders. also minmatar and amarr vehicles of all kinds with their respective turrets, and balance like assault dropsuits, minmatar with projectiles and artillery amarr with lasers, etc.. add specific bonuses.
Visual customization It would be nice if u add something like a painter or something like that to make our own designs in color for dropsuits, maybe something basic like 3 or 2 colors changeable in the suits and weapons ( this 1 isn't that important but it would be a nice detail to run the colors that you like )
mainly i would say add PVE, believe me that would radically change this game becoming it more fun for new players and also for vet players, also is a good way to keep new players interested with dust 514 and if they want to play in a future with more isk and sp (when they feel better) they can jump to PVP, FW, etc

2 years ago, we had a community, that had more realistic expectations, like interchangeable weapon sights. But I'm seeing requests like 'give me pve!'and 'give me better frame rate!' and all these tall orders! lol
If I can just get some interchangeable/custom sights and scopes... I'll be content for a very long time. You won't hear a peep out of me unless it's glitched.
5. Oh and I would also like spotting binoculars equipment. Non-lethal, something with variable zoom, to see enemy positions and movement at long range. With party scan capability.
Set your goals high, and shoot for the moon; even if you miss you'll land amongst the stars.

Well, basically I think Shields are not quite as good as armor. They both have different strengths and weaknesses they complement each other I think well. However, over all, I kind of think armor has the advantage.
Rattati, himself, mentioned not too long ago that the dev team was looking at improving shield tanking. I am not looking to make any suggestions myself (especially here) as it would require some serious indepth conversation that this thread isn't meant for. Also, I want to see what CCP is thinking at the moment so I can start putting down ideas and feedback to fit the vein of what they are trying to go for from a design standpoint.
And changes to armor and shield tanking will have huge effect on all the guns in the game which I think is a delicate issue. Hence making any off the hip suggestions seems somewhat deterimental.
So, just want to see some changes they are thinking of. That's all. |

I'd like to see Faction Warfare go through some changes that actually enables people to organize on a scale bigger than merely Q-syncing, something that feels more like it matters, make it more social, I want to be able to play in factional campaigns with multiple teams, not just battles with squads, right now it's just pubs that aren't called pubs that pay LP where squads q-sync and stomp.
I'd like new game modes. I'd like something where you have to attack and defend- a mode that involves more than just hacking things and having as many things hacked as possible. I want game modes that lend themselves more to organized play- stop letting people spawn on objectives and cut back on uplink spam.
One game mode could have an objective that wasn't stationary like a convoy game mode- defending a shipment of merchandise and such.
Then of course, then there's Skirmish 1.0...
Another cool game mode would be if the retrievable flag's location was unknown and people had to use e-war to search for it and retrieve it while trying to contest another known objective. Think Domination with a flag on the side that spawns randomly.
I want to play lower-tier battles like the earlier days of beta. I want militia only servers with passive skills disabled. It gives the game a "back to the basics" flavor. I really don't care if the rewards are lower.
I want MAV's in the game. I want vehicles to be indespensable and versatile. Put tough defensive, yet destructable gates at entry points with installations for tanks to destroy, although RE's will work too if scouts can get close. Multiple objectives that suddenly change spots, or objectives separated by inconvenient terrain would necessitate dropships and LAVs, I'd think. Give logistics vehicles a natural supply-depot-emulating ability or a module that lets passengers change their fit on the go.
New weapons and gear is always welcome, I've always wanted a "poison gas grenade" that slowly drains HP. There's always a deployable turret or deployable bubble shield.
This stuff is impossible, I know, but it doesn't have to be any of that really.
Basically, I'd appreciate anything that allows me to ask myself more than "Hmm... Should I play Skirmish in Skirmish or Skirmish in Faction Warfare? Or should I just play Dom?" whenever I start the game. I also appreciate any change that lets me have multiple ways to do things, I don't want to just spam heavies against heavies anymore.

I forgot to mention this earlier, although it might be more like a 1.11 feature.
We should have a test mode where you can deploy to a map (optionally with a squad, with team killing on). In this mode, all weapons, suits, vehicles, modules, etc. are free. You have infinite SP and can reset as much as you want. None of the kills/deaths etc. affect your stats, there is no ISK or SP payouts. It's a free-for-all where you can play with different fits, weapons, learn to fly a dropship unmolested (or molested if your friends are shooting you). You can use it to live theorycraft, test things, make decisions to see if a certain weapon is worth investing the SP to buy. This would be especially helpful to new players.
It's not as good as a real, full-blown test server, but it's a decent substitute that is reasonably easy to code and would have a big impact on the game.
I'm not sure how possible this would be, but it would also be great if the map was seeded with static NPC suits and vehicles to shoot at. Ideally you could approach an NPC and customize its skills, and fit (in the same way you can adjust your own). It would also be great if you could approach them and select a few different behaviors for them such as 1. Stationary, 2. Circle (where they run in a circle), 3. Evasive (where they bunny hop, strafe erratically in a small area), 4. Follow (they'll follow right behind so you could reposition them if you needed to), and 5. Aggressive (where they start shooing you after some reasonable delay).
The AI for this can be terrible. It's not meant to be a polished PvE experience, but merely sufficient for testing out stuff.
Another possibility with this is CCP Rattati can push database changes to this mode a week earlier than they go live for everything else. We can mess with the stuff with the future changes to see what's broken to help QA stuff before release.
