Now to get rid of all this crap I never use.

20% doesn't make me want to sell nothing. Maybe start from 35% and go to 50% is more reasonable.

As a note, World of Warcraft has a standard vendor rate of 25%. It's very common for vendor rates to be low. The fact that you can go up to as high as 50% with this vendor rate should actually be pretty high in the end.

No, Horizon. Eve, (and Dust) would not be a New Eden game without ruthless money-grubbing highway robbery from corporations,... victimizing the Capsuleers and Mercenaries upon whom their victories and system-snatching depend. It feels just right that we pay hard-earned ISK/Aurum, and get fleeced a little (just a little) when we try to re-sell anything. It SHOULD feel like you're doing business with an entity you can't trust to be fair with you.
It then becomes OUR mission, to get resourceful and find a loophole in the economy that we can exploit. Find a glitch in the secondary marketplace,... and technically, it will be fair game under the rules of the New Eden, right? If we find a way to exploit the marketplace through deception... "you can't spell Deceive without EVE",... right?
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...

I loot proto equiments once a week, and officer less than 1 per month. 20% is very low

20% is just the start.
Your loyalty score will add to that, up to 15 percent.
I don't know what it takes to get to that ceiling, so it could easily be 35% for a lot of people. Which isn't a lot better, but its better than 0% and a bunch of inventory I will never use.

I think I'll have these 15% more, but it's still little compare to the average stuff we loot. A main proto weapon cost ~47k ISK, which, at 35%, means a sell value of 15k ISK. If you were lucky and earned a hundred of them that you dont need you'll only get 1M500k ISK, which is close to nothing.
Sorry for my bad english.

Regardless of that though, I never did like the standard resale rate. Always bothered me that we're being forced to sell something worth $$$$$$$ for $$$. Of course that's thinking nothing of balance but ISK balance was thrown out the window a long time ago.

The re-sale value of used goods in a competitive market is generally about 30% of the cost of the same goods new. This is a cross-industry retail average used in profit/loss analysis. I work in retail and merchandising management and can vouch that a 65-75% loss in value the moment a product becomes "Pre-owned" is actually generous. Discount retailers will make offers on unsold bulk merchandise from other vendors at less than 10% of the original ticketed price, mark it back up to a fraction of the original price, and still make somewhere around 300% profit.
The vendor agent will put the re-sale value at 35%, and loyalty ranks will be able to push this percentage even higher. If CCP wanted to mimic real world economics, we would probably start closer to 15% and max out around 35% of the original value. And this all assumes that the product or goods being sold are actually in demand, so that pile of militia AR's collecting dust in your assets are probably worth less than 10% of their purchase price new!

You can reach 50% but you have to use the market agent (basically a booster you can buy for aur), at this point they can sell isk packs for aur.
