Am I reading the Balance Hotfix Spreadsheet correctly? All dropsuits will now have built in armor repair?
It looks like some will have reps as good as a Gallente. What happened to Gal being rep king?
I think this will have a major effect on the game. It will free up a low slot used by many players for reps on non gal suits. You can expect more armor tanking as result.

Actually, I think you'll see a lot more shield tanking as a result since it will free up a low slot on Cal/ Min suits for Regs, PG/CPU mods, and biotics.
Granted there will probably be an increase in armor taking as well, but honestly they'll still need to fit repair mods since the native boosts are lackluster at best, it will only really just improve on current fittings rather than remove repairs all together.

Ehh, most Caldari suits I have seen have a bunch of armor as well as shields. Plate and a Compact Nanohive has been enough for me for a while. Don't know if I will go for a regulator or keep with a Plate and just have a slow repair.

In another thread, they said this was the goal - this will allow a more balanced approach to shield tanking by allowing the low slot to be used for shield mods and not armor mods, thereby allowing assualt suits to have a better role.

So, let me get this straight.
CCP is adding native armor reps to all suits and Gallente's BIG BOUNS and whole reason to exist is going to be .5 HP/Sec? Someone needs to get me some of the stuff they're smoking in Iceland/Shanghai.

I've made it clear that I am not a fan of native reps at all..... your assault suits get what? 2.5-3.0 total? (Varying between 1.5-3.0 for the others) That's a small repper right?

Why are commandos getting more reps than assaults? Another missed opportunity to give assaults an advantage over other suits.

So im fitting a basic kincat on my standard min assault. (kincat is replacing my usual reactive plate) This will be awesome!
People were brick-tanking anyway. If a merc wants to fit nothing but armor plates and completely forgo an armor repair for a compact or some triage hive.....they do it now....they can still do it then.(still need to anyway)
The commandos could use them..Im thinking of new ways to fit my min commando now. Speed tanked min commando????
Every-time i see an armor tanked caldari....they're an automatic tryhard/superscrub. This will just showcase how many there who secretly wanted to but didn't want to labeled as such. An obvious scrub is obvious.

I think either all suits should have native armour repairs or no suit should have it. The reason being that atm, it's like the Gallente are getting a free extra low slot, but aren't being penalised in other areas for it, giving them an unfair advantage.

Not if you are shield tanking. Freeing up a low slot (the one used for armor repairer by every shield tanker out there that cares about the extra buffer) so that we can use regulators instead is a big thing to make shield tanking more viable.
As a shield tanker, I hate giving up that low slow to ensure my armor regens.

Yes, I understand, this is a good point. But what feel may happen, when put into practice an enhanced plate will outperform a shield regulator; faster shield regen wont help if you can't survive the encounter.

So it already as affected my game and it hasn't even dropped yet. I'm sure other players, especially the vets, will find all sorts of new fits they hadn't considered before.

Then again, I didn't think the PG reduction on Knives would be that significant either (it was just a 1 PG drop), yet it proved to be hugely significant to my fittings.
Sometimes small changes can have big effects. We just won't know until we see it in action.
