Well, given that this is an average, this means that sure, some people might check it out once and quit, but someone else is 'taking their place' next month. A lot of people are playing DUST. A lot of people still check in on DUST. A lot of people are checking out DUST. That's potential, at the very least. There's no doubt there's still work to do on the NPE. There's no doubt there's still work to do on ensuring veteran players find their time worthwhile. But the game is alive.

I don't think CCP is quite yet ready to make a set in stone statement on how to transfer stuff to a game that isn't even set in stone yet (i.e. greenlit). But I'm pretty confident CCP is well aware of the importance of honoring player investment in such a transfer.

Its been two years at LEAST since we have had them. If your not going to give us back our prototype tanks, at least give us our modules back. It pisses me off to no end that you say your going to do something, then never do it. People asked and asked for the cloak/delay fire, and you do that, but you can't take the time to "re-balance" prototype tanks? They were meant to be powerful, they were a tank, and then prototype stacked on that! Even if you just gave us back the prototype tanks, it wouldn't be nearly as power as they were, since now most people have skilled for prototype AV. Not to mention we don't have a quarter of the modules we use to have. Oh, you want to throw an RE at ME? Your gonna need a Boundless RE to take me you little paper napkin.

My point was not to shape the statistics to hint that there are 300K players on Dust as the described in the Dev Blog and Kevall's statement. 2) I'm pretty confident that CCP has been aware of a lot of important things but has a pretty consistent track record of not delivering and telling the player community "Yeah...we just wanted to go in a different direction". Slogging out of bed to get to the office chair each morning, when players did mostly nothing but spit and brandish burning torches, CANNOT be lots of fun. Gotta thank ALL the devs, present and past. Of all the items mentioned in the Uprising 1.9 subject, the GÇ£selling of assets to NPCGÇ¥ is the one that would be a door-opener. Many say we canGÇÖt have secondary market interaction in Dust, but I have never believed that. Yes, thereGÇÖs an obstacle preventing a wide open Capsuleer-to-Merc marketplace, but devising an in-between agent would circumvent that. A GÇ£LegionGÇ¥ player could be that in-between component to make trading possible. An GÇ£AutoGÇ¥ entity like a dev-controlled NPC agent could be the in-between. A makeshift GÇ£sellers ebayGÇ¥ on this forum could work too, where you post what youGÇÖve got, and let a Capsuleer arrange to negotiate with you on a secure Chat-channel in Dust (yum,... more time in the living quarters), and CCP could handle the exchange through the playersGÇÖ accounts. ....An Uprising 1.9. What a surprise. (a surpise to SOME of you fellow mercs, anyway) Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne... No story can have life without writers and publishers.
