ItGÇÖs always fun to step away from the forum for a few days and return,... the discoveries are always more fun than LIVING on the forum ( gulp,... I guess I just described what you devs are stuck doing every day. But itGÇÖs not without gratitude from many of us players.)
LetGÇÖs also lend some thanks to the original crew of devs that handled DUST before the CCP re-sorting of staff and the Project Legion turmoil. Mercs can always Tuesday-afternoon quarterback back and forth about what they were doing and how successfully they were doing it---but without them weathering what was essentially the front-line first year of this game, this GAME would not have lived to this point and presented this interestingly ironic-sounding DevBlog announcement.
CanGÇÖt just thank us players in a game enterprise. Gotta thank the Frank, Irvink, and Chang who slugged out the past year dev-ing for us (even if Chang and Irvink may have gotten laid off in the process,... damn  ). Slogging out of bed to get to the office chair each morning, when players did mostly nothing but spit and brandish burning torches, CANNOT be lots of fun. Gotta thank ALL the devs, present and past.
Of all the items mentioned in the Uprising 1.9 subject, the GÇ£selling of assets to NPCGÇ¥ is the one that would be a door-opener. 
Many say we canGÇÖt have secondary market interaction in Dust, but I have never believed that. Yes, thereGÇÖs an obstacle preventing a wide open Capsuleer-to-Merc marketplace, but devising an in-between agent would circumvent that.
A GÇ£LegionGÇ¥ player could be that in-between component to make trading possible.
An GÇ£AutoGÇ¥ entity like a dev-controlled NPC agent could be the in-between.
A makeshift GÇ£sellers ebayGÇ¥ on this forum could work too, where you post what youGÇÖve got, and let a Capsuleer arrange to negotiate with you on a secure Chat-channel in Dust (yum,... more time in the living quarters), and CCP could handle the exchange through the playersGÇÖ accounts.
....An Uprising 1.9. What a surprise. (a surpise to SOME of you fellow mercs, anyway)
