Now, would our numbers be better if FanFest had gone better and all the vets stayed? Probably not.
Amazing news, I will come back for a bit, and I'll even buy a Quafe M-1 to show some support.
Please buy the Quafe's people! I want to see a purple army out there today.

We're pushing CCP to get more info about 1.9 as quickly as possible. I don't envy CCP Rattati at all, his 1.9 Devblog is gonna be a beast to write

I don't envy CCP Rattati at all, his 1.9 Devblog is gonna be a beast to write Look forward to reading it. One thing I'm curious about; how did CCP make the Caldari production facility work on the PS3? When that socket was originally canned the devs seemed pretty adamant that they just could not get it working (memory issue?). Would be interesting to know how they solved the issue. I would also like to know what kind of rendering optimisation are being done. How much work has gone into improving the engine?
I'll ask Rattati if he can go into a bit more detail on this in a post or in blog as a lot of people have been asking about it but the main problem was this.
As it was explained to us in the CPM, the game renders nearly EVERYTHING all the time. So if you're running around inside a socket or a room, everything beyond that room is being rendered even if you cant see it. That is obviously a huge resource hog.
The story that was shared to us is that one of the team was to be blunt, peed off about it and obsessed with fixing it.
This nameless hero, this demi-god, cracked the problem and we now have a more stable frame rate.
We've demanded they get a Dev Spotlight and let out of the cupboard they were shoved till it was fixed.

Anyone want to say Dust is dying? 4k on at one time destiny (chappy game) gets millions at one time Destiny had 4.6 mill in the open beta, estimated 6 million in total sales, 3.2 million are playing it daily a month after release. A loss of 53% of it's playerbase only a month in. No sense of community, minimal clan support. 6 vs 6 PvP... cost 500 million to produce. LOLDestiny It will be dead and gone within a year or two, Like most other big / big budget games that are made these days, rarely will they be remembered in future years.
Destiny is alright but this sums up much of its problems.
