I'm getting two things from this tweet. 1 That Foxfour is human and he has things he likes (and apparently hates) and 2. that this is sort of indicative that CCP did not enjoy their time with Dust and kind of want to wash their hands of the whole thing.

1. I'm ok with this one. Foxfour doesn't speak for Dust (necessarily), and I think people should be allowed to voice their opinions... even if it comes across as mean spirited. And just like he doesn't like consoles, I don't have to like his tweets.

2. But this one makes me wonder why CCP wasn't more transparent with their community. If they were struggling with Dust why not come to terms with it, see what could be accomplished, and outline a plan for the future with input from the players? Instead we get Legion dropping on us at fan fest with no prior warning and most of the dev crew jumping ship.

I bet that if the player base knew what was going on from the beginning they would have been far more willing to accept and support Legion.

The whole game would have been more eve like in the manner that we'd interact with the whole galaxy rather than being annexed to molden heath (which is pretty useless space in eve might i add) and simply playing random matches where we just magically teleport all over the galaxy and don't even explore it. We aren't even tied in to the economy. The whole galaxy of content is already there. Right off the bat we'd have at least 15k players at peak times as ccps playerbase is in eve and dust would have been linked to eve. There'd be a hell of a lot more to do because it would be linked to eve. They could have actually fixed dust a lot by making it so we still play the game how it is in a manner, but capsuleers in space would call the shots and hire us to take and hold land that they own. We'd still be playing the same game as mercenaries and the more complex stuff would have been done in eve where they would have had the capability to do all the stuff that dust could have had anyway. they could have actually used the planets for a myriad of things and there'd be no worry about opening up more space for conquest because it's already in eve anyway. The capsuleers would have the means to make much more use of planets and do much, much more and in turn, it would have made the game much more dynamic for us. Corps in dust could have been hired from a roster, we'd set our price for rent etc. Maybe the eve corps would have manufactured items so we could possibly get all our items paid for as a bonus by some corps?, a before match armoury perhaps?, the choices for integration could have been so much more and eve and dust corps would have made a lot of interaction because they'd have to. There'd have still been pubs, fw and planetary conquest. Maybe in fw, eve pilots could have had the option to bring clones to specific battles by installing mobile crus in their ship, we'd then do fw as normal and be transported by a fleet with guaranteed ob support. Naturally you could just spawn in randomly anyway but for people who are more organised, there'd have been a bit more depth if they wanted. A good example is transport. The eve players at least could have transported us around the galaxy and while they get X amount of jumps as an eta, we'd get the timer and this could be anywhere from less than a minute to maybe a lot more. It would have made it all much more dynamic and dust wouldn't have needed to change much, the content would have been made in eve, we'd still be playing this game but with more interaction and a better feeling of immersion. Quite a few people suggested stuff like this but it was shot down every time. Naturally, the masses didn't want any of that and you can see the grand outcome in planetary conquest, a more time consuming version of skirmish with no actual logistics or anything, no interaction with eve really and annexed to molden heath, yawn. And i have been playing eve for maybe 5 months, dust for over a year and a half. I had the experience from much more in depth games from pc, that's why i knew this but i was p1ssing in he wind every time because we are on console. Hopefully legion will fix that. That was spiffing.
