Mmmmm I only say this from experience. I've been in those shoe, making characters OP, and RPed with them.

In my mind , again I say this only as advice and not a harsh critique, two things need to done to improve as RP is like a skill of sorts.

First is a humanisation of characters. Yes you live in a futuristic society full of technological wonders and unnatural role and ideals....but fundamentally your character is human and as a human you are often no better or worse than anyone else. You are not a special mercenary and all you have over a regular soldier is experience borne of....well dying and even then this technology is new.....Immortality does not impart talent....and even talent fails the over confident or terrified. No matter what you believe everyone knows fear.

Secondly awareness is required. You have to be reading each other players RP for the changes in the plot that they make. You have to be aware of what they describe, and what their characters do so as not to create inconsistencies.

E.G- relevant to this RP. Junko expressly said I believe at the start of this RP that you are likely to be in your leisure clones, these clones are the established equivalent lore wise to baselining. They have no superhuman attributes. Or if not you are in a stock clone, these are featureless clones with superhuman attributes. Additionally she established that Implants were down and that Shadow Warriors now hold all the power.

Now I like the desperate struggle plotline as much as anyone else......but that's all it should have been.

My personal choice for a play for this RP would have been to bugger off as fast as possible, barely controlling my fear of loosing...certain...characters..... only stopping if someone I had a duty to required my help. Screw the rest of you, it's not my job to baby sit you and I can't keep serving God if I am dead.

Besides a few examples, and this is harsh critique, few characters present (from my perspective as a reader with high standards) seemed human to me or very aware of what was going on.

Instead when all seemed hopeless everyone stepped up to another level, took action, and forced that action on everyone else.

Please do Junko this plot line is interesting and has merit..... who wouldn't want to eliminate immortal clones in New Eden? But Shadow Warriors? What are they and who sent them for what reasons to a civilian station. Moreover how did they know you'd all be there/ how did they get you to show up to an obvious trap?

it is harsh, but i completely accept your critique. (i've had harsher critiques before) i'll do my best to monitor the rp from now on.

as for the 'shadow warriors', it can be chalked up to a few certain answers.
either someone was followed here, got a bit careless en route and the shadow warriors took notice.

but as for now (rp-wise) we cant actively find that information out, as we are (or was) trying to flee from this area.
initially i had planned to Rp as the shadow warriors myself (alt: Hjkkh) but as of now i cant.

It was only 3 months ago I really took Kador to task and de-constructed him and built him up again as a more human character.

Prior to this he was a soulless lump of muscle and faith. Now more than ever I am trying to express my original theme that birthed him.

"Just a man with his gun and his faith."

Now I drew Kador's skills directly out of what I can achieve on the battlefield. I'm not the best tanker but I was pretty good at it, and I am a **** poor rifle shot and have never scored a melee kill in my life (well maybe one).

More so now than ever I try to put more emphasis on what my character is thinking and feeling. How he tends to be unlucky or make mistakes.

I never did that before, and I think that's what makes Kador my current favourite character I have created yet.

He's a dudebro, with access to the biggest guns in New Eden, and all the guides him is Faith.

Just so the concerned parties know, Thal is still in the dropship. I'm not going to post anything till we get under control because I have no idea what is going on :P

Thal, I was waiting and became confused (I'll have to re-read it, was rushing first time.) and thought that drop ship was the Se'erra.

Junko and True, I too am disappointed. I thought the 'Voidwalkers' as I call them would be almost invincible, hell I even imaged a fight between Raven and an unarmed Voidwalker (this was before they became marshmallows protected by tin armour) and Raven wins after snapping it's neck, slitting it's throat and severing an arm, and Raven still could barely stand afterwards, but sadly it never happened and they became well marshmallows in tin armour.

For the record I just wanted to point out that the mortals did nothing more than distract them. Never meant for people to take it as being op mortals.

There is a lot people can do to creatively form bonds between characters and advance plotlines while keeping to the Hosts RP themes. This is all a part of awareness that I mentioned.

As I see it RP is not about exercising your freedom to write what you want, its about exercising creative freedom to write what you want within the guidelines.

E.g- Classirarii PR Offices - I am a host. I am polite and refined. Doesn't stop me from thinking your character is a bastard.
Birth of the Legion - You are mortals, you are afraid and running for your life. Choosing to stand at a pivotal moment is
made more noble because of this even if you achieve nothing in the process.

Edit: Also have an idea to make the Shadow Warriors a bit more fear inspiring.

Path One: Undying - Unless dismembered or blown to bits, they can regenerate at an alarming rate and come back faster and stronger.

Path Two: Ranks - Currently we are facing 'Cannon Fodder'. Marked ones are higher ranked, and are generally faster, stronger, and harder to kill. The more marks, the more powerful. (Keep in mind Jonny only killed a Marked One with 1 Mark).
