BPO suits are not new content, they are just modded content that already exists.

CCP has already stated they can mod stuff in the game with out a client side update. Just look at the hotfixes we have gotten, they were able change cpu/pg, mod slots, and racial bonus without a client update, so what makes you think that addingbpo is new content?

well, I was talking about new content in terms of having more choices on what to wear and use in battle.
So, grabbing a Caldari Scout and changing bonus from precision to range isn't adding new content. it's just tweaking already available content.

But giving us two Caldari Scouts, one with precision bonus, the other with range bonus, that equals new content... or at least to me it does.

So, since there are no BPO's right now, introduction of BPO's is new content. And CCP can follow suit with new suits (heh, pun) by adding new content in the form of already existing content (but with changed slots, stats etc) while keeping the old content in the market.

That is kinda true but all the bpo that are being added will have the same everything as there isk counter part like the raven cal c-1 is just a bpo of the cal a-1 that you buy with isk with any and all bonus that you have in the suit Also if they are like the bpo one we got in closed beta you will need to be skilled into them to use them, they are not the NVS like the dragonfly suits are

That is such a nice suit, also the quaff scout suit would be nice to buy as well

All the STD weapons There are a lot of standard bpo weapons out there already, like shotgun, AR, ScR, laser, swarms, you just had to buy the pack for them when they were around. I have them and they are not militia.

I have the 'Skinweave' Gallente Light Frame, Amarr Heavy Frame, and the Minmatar/Caldari Medium Frame suits. Couple that with BPO mods and weapons like my BPO SMG and BPO 'Exile' Assault Rifle and I am able to do way better than what the starter fits offer. I have them and they are not militia. Rail rifle, combat rifle, mass driver, HMG, FORGE, nova knives... the list of non bpos goes on. I have at least one of all the bpos that were made available. I even have two LAVs. (I want to trade one of them for a baloch bpo stupid caldari jeeps) And before someone screams that forge gun and hmg bpos would be OP you can buy 50 standard sentinel dropsuit fits for 225k. The cost of one decent pub. But its the dropsuit variants I really want.

I know that CCP has made mistakes in the past (a lot of them), and will surely continue to make mistakes in the future, but I wouldn't presume to characterize CCP as mustache-twirling villains trying to swindle you out of your money. While they have not been particularly forthcoming with their plans as of yet, I think people should be confident CCP will find a way to honor people's investment into DUST in Legion in some form.
