But I would like to think any AUR purchases at bare minimum would be refunded back to AUR that you could spend again. In some things, particularly collectable/vanity things like suit skins, will be in some form hopefully transferable to Legion. With the clear disclaimer that no, CCP has not said anything on this ground for transfers, I'm recalling CCP Z's progression talk saying all suits were BPOs, so I wouldn't think transferring suit BPOs would be completely out of the question. It really depends what Legion actually is when it's launched. ResistanceGTA wrote:Whatever happened to, perhaps, maybe, being able to get BPOs of different races? I think these might be in the range of possibility (noting that new variations of existing items is generally possible in hotfixes), this is a good thread to mention desires for these things.
I'm confident CCP can pull it off especially with the transfer of these BPOs into Legion. Much of which some of us already purchased long ago. Hell, I still have the "Yellow Bottle" BPO.
But anyways, I was under the impression that there would be no more BPOs coming to Dust because "they can potentially hurt the secondary market". Of course, now that the secondary market is out of the question for Dust, this might explain why CCP is revisiting BPOs.

I think these might be in the range of possibility (noting that new variations of existing items is generally possible in hotfixes), this is a good thread to mention desires for these things. but by sayign that, doesn't that means that CCP have the option to include these BPOs in some form or another into legion? seeign as its in such an early stage, and now if they don't they would appear to be 'dicks' by not including them? seeing as a large amount of playerbase has purchased BPOs and in New Eden BPOs are a crucial element of the game, every item used in the game from the small ammo loaded into a frigs turrets to the outposts and titans themselves are built from a BPO. If manufacturing was included from the start it allows a fantastic oppertunity for CCP to have a way of both earning income from the game and enabling a good career for players who want to spend real money on it. If BPOs for all items are made available (as in EVE) but for AUR instead and players can refine modules from either pub matches, FW, PvE or even buying minerals/materials from the market (as in EVE) and put BPOs in to manufacture suits/wepaons and sell them on the market it allows new players to spend a little real money and buy a BPO and as they progress they can manufacture the items from their earnings so they can either use them when they skill into them or sell them on the market for isk. Corporations could provide cheap fully ready suits to new players as incentives to join, just as the corps in eve do with frigates ect. the player market and manufacturing element would make DUST/Legion far more interactive and less of a grind for new players if they could earn a bit of semi passive isk by manufacturing and selling items. If the BPOs we have now are turned into the typical BPO we know and love in new Eden and we have to build consumable items from them it reassures players that buying them would be a good investment if they intend on playing Legion because they will have BPOs ready for manufacturing and that from the get-go there is a good portion of the players who can start manufacturing for the player market and creating a good economy
Considering that the New Eden Store features Blueprints (they're copies though) for exotic ship skins, I'm ok with this as long as there is material required to use the BPO. The ship skin BPCs in Eve Online require materials the same way (a ship can be a material) so evidently this will ensure that the market remains stable and that there will be demand for materials. And since the secondary economy will likely be introduced into Legion, market trading will become a lucrative secondary income for players who might not be willing to grind too much for ISK.

The dark cloud wrote:WHAT THE ACTUAL ****?! Those suits are made up and didnt existed previously. You wont fool me CCP ive been here long enough to exactly recall what faction was in what suit category:
Raven=Caldari Assault SVER= Minmatarr Logistic Valor= Gallente scout
Every other suit you add did not existed before. This is a huge cashgrab operation and i bet each dropsuit will at least cost 30k AUR. God so annoying.
Why should they be limited to just one race and one class for each BPO?

Nirwanda Vaughns wrote:@Maken. yeah i had a similar idea as the ship skin BPC's for the suits too. you buy say an 'Aliastra' Gallente Assault G-I BPO for 1000AUR but you have to 'apply' that skin to isk bought G-I suits
but the idea i was leaning towards is having players manufacture the suits and modules in Legion just as we do in EVE, there would still need to be NPC items but players could undercut the NPC prices to encourage players ot buy from them instead and eventually if/when the playerbase grew and more people bought BPOs CCP could ease back the amount of NPC supplied items. the same was done in EVE. certain modules still had NPC seeds up until a few years ago when everything went playerbased (apart from skillbooks, BPOs and trade items)
Well, considering that Legion's secondary market will primarily be driven by PvE salvage, this means players will be the ones setting the prices. I don't think there will be any NPC-established prices in this case. In Eve Online, the vast majority of the commodities don't have any NPC sources such as the Orca, Rorqual, Titans, Capitals, etc.

You do realize the staff for Dust has been severely reduced, right? The vast majority of them are working on Project Legion with only a few working on Dust. I don't have any hopes to see new maps in Dust.

pfft, I run proto all the time so I won't be using any of these suits anyway.
They save you tons of ISK and are way better than the starter fits in terms of slot layout. I have the 'Skinweave' Gallente Light Frame, Amarr Heavy Frame, and the Minmatar/Caldari Medium Frame suits. Couple that with BPO mods and weapons like my BPO SMG and BPO 'Exile' Assault Rifle and I am able to do way better than what the starter fits offer.

That's the 'Kindred' Scout. I have that suit. Too bad it's bugged with the standard issue blue it suffered. Hopefully it gets fixed in Delta. There also use to be a 'Solstice' Scout but had gold in place of the red which made it look more Amarrian.

+1 to bpo dropships. I think dropships is asking for a bit too much; I don't think we will ever see above lav ever. You must be referring to a re-release right? Cause the LAV BPO's were priced at $100 each. You can still find people with them ingame.

I think it's just the color and the fact that these are BPOs.
