It really is pathetic how people with no turret game, Who don't even deserve to touch the steering wheel of a single dropship or tank, With no sp in vehicles, Never had their wallet kick them in the balls (If they had any), Never massacred dropsuits with a large rail, Never flew a dropship for more then 5 minutes without exploding, Who never saw the sexy red glow of a cannon turret, Who never aimed a turret through the DUST of swarm fire, forges, and grenades Who never kissed their ads or tank goodnight after a long day of not dying and made scrambled eggs in the morning for it, Have more than 0% of influence in what the devs do with any vehicular changes.

As an occasional tank driver I know whats best for you foot plebs. You input is not necessary or desired, and is wrong anyways.
also swarms should not lock onto my vehicles because lockons take 0 skill and I totally would not be whining about them if they were dumbfire and killed me anyways like forges (which should also be nerfed)
If you do not have 20m+ sp in vehicle skills your opinion is irrelevant and you deserve to be stomped by me |

If Vehicle Pilots were the only ones who had influence over how vehicles are balanced, the vehicles would become insanely overpowered and AV weapons would become non-factors against them, due to a large amount of Pilots that feel as if AV weapons should be non-factors against them.

If this were the case, I would say the following: -Give the Amarr sentinel a 25 sprint speed -Give the HMG more DPS than a rail tank -Change the Amarr sentinel slot layout to 5/5 -Give the HMG more range than a Rail Rifle -Replace the Amarr sentinels' sidearm with a light weapon slot -Give the Amarr sentinel infinite grenades -Remove the skills to get into heavies from the game, so that only current heavies have fun.

I'd love it if tanks were expensive and halfway difficult to use again. Might actually give me a reason to go back into tanking... though I'd want all the old modules back, first. No way I'd invest SP into the simplified crapfest that tanks have become since 1.7 was released.

I'm a proto Amarr sentinel. I have been a sentinel since mid 1.7, which is longer than all of these FOTM guys.

Vehicle wizards giving feedback about vehicles to ccp, AV wizards giving feedback about AV to ccp cpm and devs proccess feedback and create patch.

It really comes down to that. You can no longer ignore AV...... Ignoring AV is the fastest way a pilot dies. Any vehicle that doesn't fight AV is an ignorant pilot. And suppose that forger is garbage, or that swarm is militia, we'd go back to the pre 1.7 days (not that 1.7 was even remotely fair). Add to the fact that most people in GD fail to take personal skill into account. If the ADS fighting a forger is garbage, with a stupid fit, and the forge is good, he's going to die, end of story. It's the one thing that makes me hate arguing with GD people, I've yet to see them take personal skill into account, it's always "he shouldn't do this" "broken hitboxes that". Maybe some people are just good in what they do, hey that might be a thought.

I agree with you. But jokes aside I don't. Vehicles don't really belong in dust, as it has attempted to go in the direction of being team based while users of vehicles rarely have teambased motives, or need to rely as much on them. All they are is annoying, some combatable and some that barely is. All they do is get kills in one way of another, making another way of getting many kills in a form of high reward low risk gameplay. "Dropships" need to rely on a team to get things done, but their purpose leans far too much on being an offensive unit. Assault "dropships" do not need to rely on a team, do not benefit from a team, hardly help a team, and have a highly excessive reward. Assault "dropships" are nearly invincible. either through evasive maneuvers, shields that can survive forge ganking quite easily, or both. It may take skill to fly a dropship, but this does not make up for the fact that an ADS player can basically wipe out entire teams if they wanted. Not many things can kill them besides a very strong railtank and forgers, in which super railtanks are rare and they know when a forgeteam is there and can nearly always run away.
Putting tanks in this game is unnecessary, as there are not many things that need such offensive power besides destroying installations, "dropships" or LAVs or other tanks. LAVs are pretty solid, but their offensive capability is slim since the one manning the gun is way too exposed. Sometimes their existence is for very ill purpose. A sentinel is suppost to have the permanent drawback of being slow, and yet can make up for this by shooting down anyone they please in their highly mobile LAV. It's also tactically displeasing to have one person in a LAV use scanners to give away the location of an entire team to a set amount of people. The reason people have an influence on vehicles is because they are the majority. If a minority like vehicles is negatively affecting too many players(The majority) something will be done about it, and it is exactly affecting the majority negatively.
I play my games hardcore with teamwork until roughly phallic shaped aircrafts ruin the game in more than one aspect.

If this were the case, I would say the following: -Give the Amarr sentinel a 25 sprint speed. -Give the HMG more DPS than a rail tank. -Remove the skills to get into heavies from the game, so that only current heavies have fun.
