Even removing the cap until around 5 mil sp would be so great. I'm all for more than that but just saying even 5 mil will let someone go directly into their role of choice. Sadly i doubt it will ever happen. Thing's like this in dust are always too good to be true.

Rollover with decay. Introduce a rollover booster for AUR. Any SP remaining in the cap at the end of the week is added to the rollover pool. Every week this pool is decreased by some percentage. You won't use up your pool, until your active for the week is used up. Your active booster applies to your weekly pool and you can boost your banked pool using the new booster. More money for CCP to keep the servers running, and more flexibility for players. Win/win.
The only downside is this would probably require tweaks to the UI, which I think aren't possible to hotfix.

Months passed, and Uprising came. SP sinks increased literally fivefold. The pointless basic frame skillwall was introduced. Engineering and electronics had their skill multipliers skyrocketed. It used to cost 600k for a newbie to max them and start being able to fit properly. Suit skill multipliers shot through the roof so far they entered orbit, although this was later reverted.
But still we had that 180k weekly cap. Rollover had failed to materialise. There was silence on the subject for a few months until a dev eventually asked wtf we were talking about and said there were no plans for it.
And here we are now, years on, with that very same cap that was once called a temporary measure.
Reminds me of the proto tanks and UVT's...... |

If you min-max, you should hit what you need at 15mil
Maxed Core skills is around 13mil. Proto suit is 2.8 mil. Proto Prof III is around a Mil (with sharpshooter 3, reload 3, etc)
This is a ROUGH estimate, but if you do it right, it'll work. Ideally, you should skill in this order
Racial suit to 1 Weapon to 1 Cores to 1 Cores to 3 Suit to 3 Weapon to 3 Cores to 5 <--- Most important one. Suit to 4 Weapon to 5 Suit to 5 Proficiency and Done.
I say that cores to 5 is most important because of the following: At Cores 5, you can REALLY fit that ADV suit. A well fit ADV suit is perfect for pubbing. After that, you just inch the suit to proto. At Proto Suit, Core 5, you have the ability to fit whatever you want. By the time you get the modules to where you want, you no longer have to worry about not being able to fit them.
