Great suggestions were already made for improvements over the existing implementation. On top of that, remove the worthless SP sink that is the 'basic' suits that offers no benefit but complete despair to your newer players. That or make them viable in any way.

This I agree with. The SP cap was suppose to be temporary but ended up being a permanent option since CCP did not bother to ask players after the Uprising 1.5 update. That's what it is now once you hit cap 1WP=1SP up to a max of 1k, no? Raising the post-cap per map cap from 1K to how many ever WPs you get would definitely be progress in extending the cap, without "forcing" people to play more to cap out. |

ie. Caldari medium suit 3 would give +3% shield and armor hp to the basic suits and the assault/logi
or perhaps.. have it based on the premis of the racial tanking..
like +3% to 5% max shield for all caldari medium suits per level (basic, logi, assault) minmatar would get shield bonus too
gallente and amarr woudl get armor..
now it would give shiedl tankers a little better standing vs armor so they wouldnt be as sucky vs armor.. and armor tankers with the extra armor hp may drop 1 or 2 plates in favour of kinkats and cardiac for more speed to compensate for the higher/slower armor tanks

If that raised SP pool would go only to FW matches it would done much more goodness - when pub players would end they weekly cycle they could populate FW to get some extra SP, just saying..

For new players just give them 2x passive and active sp gain for 14 or 30days. newberries = happy
as for the rest of us i think it needs raising even if its just to 300,000 it'd give us more reason to play. i know far too many players who just cap out in day or two and go play something else for the rest of the week. if ccp wants to keep player numbers up a bit at least bribe them slightly by giving them more sp to gain lol

i don't think folk are really asking fo rit to be removed just increased a bit to quicken up some skill gain. roll over would certainly help out but in turn it allows for an even more dramatic drop in player count. as i said in an ealrier post. most players i know now come online, cap out in a couple of days and go play something else, probably just out of compulsion to want to cap out. increasing the cap even by 50% would encourage players to spend a little time in game as they cap out and may make the game more fun isntead of seeign the same two teams rotating round the different game modes. over the past few evenings i've seen the same squads and players in ambush in almost every match i played just mixed up between red or bluedots each game

I wanted the cap to be increased when I started playing, because I'd capped out after one day of play, and I needed more points desperately. Now I just play less when I cap out, and I don't want the cap to be increased because I am bitter and don't want anyone to be able to gain skill points, and I don't want to feel obligated to play more to reach the cap.
If this game was fun, I wouldn't be playing it.
