Sloth effect gone after it's year+ long reign of kinesthetic-neutering horror? Quality of gameplay just improved by 15%, maybe more.
Are there any other focused changes that could have a similar effect on quality of gameplay?
I'd say yes, first would be to ELO matchmaking based strictly on operator performance relative to peers - assuming that matchmaking is server-side.
Next to that would be removing the passive in-match sp charity and replacing it with moderately improved kill/assist bonuses and significantly improved support bonuses. Not sure if that's hotfixable, tbh. But the increased feeling of personal responsibility and mercs earning what they take would significantly deepen the quality of immersion and investment experienced by DUST players.
Tho the platform is limited and the implementation of FPS mechanics are far from ideal, a string of good decisions instituted in DUST could give Legion a run for it's money. Done right, in the future we would see peeps having serious conversations about which game had the better gameplay.

The AR on the other hand has sucked since the RR and CR came out, so much so that it needed some serious love. The 3% boost to damage that it got was a bit meager but might make it somewhat useful again.
All this info was in the Google doc if you bothered to look.
I don't get your point? An average AR can fire 1,600 feet or 0.30 in miles but it's easy to modify the gun to shoot even farther then that. I don't know much about the CR but my understanding is that it's the same as the AR but has larger bullets a slower RPM and it has shorter range of fire.
As for you saying that the CR is a dominant weapon in light weapons? So what!?! You want to change the rules of Physics just to make the game more fair? Also why do light weapons have to be weak? In real life the CR can be used to go thru armor such as Jeep/tank armor. Then why not in Dust? In real life you can shoot out a cars tires with a hand gun but in Dust they have those super bulletproof/grenadeproof tires.
Again I feel the need to point out that the reason we buy these guns and or upgrades (with SP) is to give our self's an advantage in the game. When the game developers take that advantage away why should we invest our time and or SP in anything? Also see how none of this happens to heavy's. |

I'm thinking you should have perhaps waited on nerfing the Assault variant of the Combat Rifle until after you got feedback on it after the stunlock fix. Other than that though, I see only good things here. Kudos CCP, this is one of the best hotfixes I've seen from you in several months.

Do you have any examples of where ELO is used to match players against each other in team vs. team environments? Normally it's used in 1v1 scenarios, and diagnosing contributions for one among many takes a MUCH different kind of math. Just because its popular for chess, doesn't mean it works here. |

Are both of these stated correctly? Gal scouts get both radius and scan precision of 1%? Not 1% range and 3% profile? Cal scouts get 3% radius and precision to 3%. Not 3% range and 5% profile?
This is what I want to know. Are both skills affected by the same percentage? I'm sure the gallente should be range and dampening profile, while the caldari is range and precision.
So for gallente is it really 1% to range and 1% to profile? 5% profile reduction at proto doesn't seem much.

It was good how it was, 1% is nothing and what about the minja ( minmatar scout for them new noobs who dont know ) why the poop has it not been given a pg/cpu buff so we can fill all our slots? But 1% scan range boost per level at least give us a 3, please.

There is an active scanner that can detect cloak scouts but #1 you need to be a gallente logi to take advantage of it bonus and #2 The darn thing is too expensive. The scanner is many times more expensive than the a hole scout suit fit. In short, for the purpose of scanning a scout it is not worth it (not cost effective) |

Eyeah... My guess is that those of us who fight AV will continued to get slaughtered 20:1 or more against HAVs because, while agreed the plasma cannon needed work, It's still even with greater damage absolutely sux royally because of it's reload speed, it's aiming difficulty, it's ridiculously slow speed of projectile, it's massive other weaknesses and glitches. Skill to use...? Not even Gawd on steroids could kill a tank with a plasma cannon. It regardless remains the very worst weapon in the Dust arsenal. Period. Give it all the damage you want, ya cain't hit shyte with it no matter how good you are.
Seriously. Do any of you people ever even play this game? Or maybe it's that all of you people wrap yourselves in HAV armor and then that's how you play this game. It is wonderful to play dust when you're nearly and completely invulnerable.
