I just got it to lvl 5 and this suit is facking amazing. here is my gk.0 fit: Hi & Low Slots: 2 Complex Shield Extender 4 Basic Armor Plates Weapons: Six Kin Assault Combat Rifle Six Kin Sub Machine Gun Core Locus Grenade Equipment: Ishukone Cloak Field Wyirkomi Nanite Injector or Ishukone Nanohive yes, I can fit a 770 HP tank, proto cloak, proto weapons plus another proto equipment piece on that thing and the gist is I am about as fast as I am with the minmatar assault with around the same total hp. I just traded that weaksauce clipsize bonus for an awesome cloak, a second piece of equipment, lower hitbox, lower scanprofile & higher scan precision plus the ability to evade alot of scanners. I can now cross the battlefield faster with my cloak without being caught because I do not have to waste my time trying to abuse terrain. RIP minmatar assault

RIP minmatar assault Dude, LOL, no, you realize most people don't recognize sarcasm as a form of humor? but yeah, a lot do run mid 400's to 600's and it works great. Cloak makes people less cautious which is good for the cloaker shotgunners, another option. Personally I like to run a 'mini- logi' with links (the link bonus is another boondoogle that needs sorting out). CCP failed to predict this, or perhaps management didn't listen, or by the time they figured it out it was too late. Bottom line, cloak should have had a dedicated 'cloak slot' and there should have been a mechanism in place to make HP tanking unattractive enough to prevent them from taking over the medium frame duties. So what form should those take? Dust is flawed. I admit it. I complain about it. I even rage about it. But its still the best game in town.

RIP minmatar assault Yeah, i've got the gallente scout to proto on an alt & all i can say is that suit hella loves a fight. Both the adv and the proto. Tbh, it's not something i've experienced in any Minmatar suit, which is all i've run from the very beginning. Tho i have to give credit to the minlogi for flexibility. I support SP rollover.

You Gallente brick-tanked cloaked slayer scouts are going to absolutely cash in during this SP bonus week. I don't know whether to be jealous or cry. I guess this is typical for CCP. From what they have done in the past year this imbalance will continue for weeks or maybe even months. Scouts needed a boost and I've said so in the forums. But this is in-frigging-sane. Most of this is the fault of the new cloaks. I see them on lots of suits. I've even seen them on heavies. Rather than burning scouts with a big nerf to the scout suit, CCP should give a nerfski to the cloak. And maybe some adjustment to the scout suits themselves. Not sure. I carry the nanite injector to ressurect the logi that provides repairs the scan profile of the cloaked gallente scout is ~17.7, the caldari scout needs like 3 precision enchancers to beat that. Actually you only need 2 precision enhancers because 17.7 rounds to 18. 2 precision enhancers is 17.84 on a Caldari Scout, also rounds to 18. You will be scanned. Tie always goes to the scanner and every Cal Scout us running at least 2 precision enhancers.

The easiest (and most satisfying) kills are cloaked scouts with red chevrons over their heads. It has low EHP which doesn't really matter if you're able to continually flank at a distance. Also, I would swap out some basic armor plates on that gk.0 setup for some complex reactives.

So what form should those take? The armor plate penalty should apply to profile as well as movement. If you are wearing a bunch of plates your should make more sound and thus be more noticeable. I don't know if it will solve everything but it may help. Most tankers are like sand people. They frighten easily, but will quickly return...and in greater numbers.

That's very true, and its also why I don't ever use the tanked out proto Gal scout I have fitted out (mine is better though, 3 enhanced plates and an enhanced repper). In general as a scout you are better off with E-war and/or speed modules and that is what I run. However, the OPs point was to compare the Gal scout he's got now to the Minnie assault he used to use. As someone who has proto myself in both those things and the exact same weapons the OP is using he is right. The gal scout can basically do what the min assault can, but better, though slower. It is not a very good set up for battling other scouts, but it is better than assaults can hope to manage. Most tankers are like sand people. They frighten easily, but will quickly return...and in greater numbers.

It is not a very good set up for battling other scouts, but it is better than assaults can hope to manage. all of those statements are unfortunately wrong. the only thing that catches the cloaked scout on radar is a gallente logi with focused scanner => almost no one runs that and then it is only for 5 seconds caldari scout with 3 proto precision enhancers => almost no one runs that and it is only 37.5 meter range at max skills. I can see cloaked scouts at that range with my eyes, not to mention that such low HP is a liability when MLT weapon can pump out 400+ dps. and regarding speed: gk scout with 4 basic plates (and that is assuming the penalty is not stacking penalized): movement 5.03 Strafe Speed 4.52 Sprint Speed 7.39 minmatar assault with ZERO plates. 5.3 4.77 7.791 the difference is not even noticeable. I will check at home if the armor penalty is stacking penalized in which case it would be no speed difference at all if that is the case.
