You see, scan profile and precision numbers are rounded up to the next full number. In reality, you have a scan profile of 18 dB. And when the scan profile and precision are equal, the scanner wins and you're detected. This applies to both passive and active scans. Now, if you look at this scanning table, I'll let you in on a little secret.
The scan precision of a Caldari scout with two complex precision enhancers is 18 dB, while your scan profile is 18 dB with a cloak. Even cloaked, a Caldari scout worth his money will still see you. Better start fitting those dampeners.
And really, a cloak is still kind of obvious when you run around in the open with the bright blue shimmer.

Its easy to sneak up on not sure if troll or just super stupid I already explained this to you, how any Caldari scout worth his money can see through your proto cloak. Combined with the fact that your own scan precision isn't low enough to detect Caldari scouts without enhancers, you're gonna get sneaked on easily.
So no, your wannabe assault fit isn't as undetectable as you think, unless you start swapping those HP mods for dampeners.

I can see cloak shimmer with my eyes at the range you can passively scan me. awareness > radar crutch
what follows is I point my ACR at you, you drop in under a second while you just scratched the paint of my basic plates So, you never leave open terrain where you can see cloak shimmers easier because nobody in their right mind would go to an objective *gasp* where there are buildings? Scouts have learned to hide from people without cloaks ever since scout suits were in this game, they don't just aimlessly wander in the open only staring at their radar to find you with their cloak on.
My point is, to me it seems you're assuming everyone is blind and dumb as bricks while you, ultimate master scout, can see everyone trying to sneak on you. Hint, they're not.
It's kind of ironic that you talk about crutches when you're the one using proto combat rifles in an HP tanked scout.
