Duna2002 spams messages to all 31 other players in the games he enters, inviting them to his corp. The new players who are new to the game, join his corp. The new players are taxed heavily to fund duna2002s tanks. Everyone made a terrestial combat officer so it takes 24 hours for them too leave. During that 24 hours they are re-made a terrestrial combat officer so they are eternaly trapped to fund dunas tanks. We have an application from duna corp who cannot join us as he keeps getting promoted to terrestial combat officer. We also had a guy join us from duna corp a long time ago that says it wasnt a good corp they were just there to fund duna. CCP, I think you need to look into this a bit. Its worrying what this could do to new players trying the game out. This still exists? My old CEO in Open Beta used this to keep his last few directors after we all started leaving... Obviously, Terrestrial Combat Officers didn't exist, but the same result occured from being promoted to Director then immediately demoted (and I'm sure it would work with any corp role). Why is this still a thing?

Duna corp members are taxes damn near the average tax rate, duna corp is set at 11% It's not right right that people are not allowed to leave the corp but that stuff before it does not really make sense it's duna's corp hey can do anything he wants with the tax ISK if he wants to keep it for his tanks so he can. I highly doubt the taxes are the problem here. If Duna can get away with taking new player taxes for himself, and those new players don't realise it, well... good on him. Welcome to New Eden and all that. But when those players wise up to Duna's "scam" and try to leave but are kept in the corp against their will, that's when the problem rises.

Its worrying what this could do to new players trying the game out. Send in a petition reporting this. Preventing people from leaving the corp is a clear abuse of game mechanics. Its really sad to see things like this happen. EVE used to be like this, before the player base wised up and realized they should be doing all they could to help new players. I think the strong support the EVE community gives new players is one of the key reasons why EVE keeps growing year to year. I had hoped that culture would carry over to DUST... Quite the opposite. Many of my current corpmates were able to manually relinquish roles (via the corporation roster, not by applying to another corp) and it allowed them to join a new corp without having to wait. I think the 24hr grace period only applies if you remove your roles by trying to apply to another corp, and not if you remove your roles manually through the roster.

You should be able to manually relinquish your title and get out, most of them didn't have to wait the full 24hrs either. Either Duna is more diabolical than our old CEO (not inconceiveable but not super likely either) or they are missing a step. Afaik CCP actually improved the dust-side mechanics since it happened to us, so I suspect it's the latter. I don't care how big it is, just want to see some loyalty and unity. Coming from a military family, that is very important to me. We're a social teamwork based corp. I was on of the founders :) 1 year and 17 days and still going strong :) We got a little community going on in Tech Guard :P Anyway. This needs sorting. It may be that duna cant give out a role withiin that 24 hour. He may just be promoting straight after that 24 hours is up. Another point to add. If your new then you wouldnt have a clue how to drop your roles manually and join a corp instantlt like some of you say you can. A scam is when you exploit people, not when you exploit game mechanics. All CCP needs to do is change how the system functions. They already managed it when they made it more difficult to AWOX by changing the PC entry mechanics, and that was far closer to being a legitimate tactic than this Duna exploit is. No.

The Duna problem is really massive exploit that hurts new players, both new to Dust and new to how EvE works. Academy is bullshit, games are tough when alone or without the training to even make use of the squad finder properly, new players wanna corp up and get good then this ********** traps them in a vice to feed his marauder losses. Actually as many dickmoves that are in this game, PC lockdown being an obvious burning example, Duna is probably the only one i have a problem with. I squadded up with a Duna member once with my main and the guy was basically begging me to teach him out to leave a corp, I should him how to do it, told him to get rid of his roles at a good time then bail out, and it left such a bad aftertaste in my mouth I was really so *** angry. People who exploit new members like this should just be straight up banned, also its on CCP to get the finger out and get the academy up to speed on properly explain corps and the roles involved with them, not every sad ** in the game checks the forums like us. Duna is a scrub and should be booted off the planet.

I took a break and when I came back I'd been kicked By the way I don't think he's funding his tanks with the money. I've heard he has a vault like Scrooge McDuck and just swims in the Isk all day... I hear voices all the time... I just ignore them and keep on killing...
