As I mentioned in my first post in this thread we in UNIT formed our own corp after being dissatisfied with the EvE-based management. We've been together since beta as well. You are welcome to join us as well.

while i think this is wrong, i dont think we need to expand the player-base. Tranquility can hardly hold its 40k+ EVE/Dust players as it is. thats why they have problems with memory leaks.
and instead of putting it here, post this in the technical support/bugs section.

Publicitu is in general discussion and this guy needs to be exposef. Think of the new players just giving up on the game due to one guys selfish attitude.

As someone pointed out earlier (I blame TV) to condone is to accept morally questionable behavior.

Promotions to new corp roles shouldn't apply immediately. After the CEO appoints someone for a new role, that person receives a notification and only after accepting the promotion becomes whatever role he's attributed. This should fix this abuse, i think.

I think it should be enough to go on your name on the corp list and just remove all. Then, they can get out.

Everything you say is true, except you can just go into Corp > Members > Find your name > Remove all roles > Quit Corp.
This may be wrong, but every time I've used this, when I had roles previously, I didn't have to wait 24 hours.

Just to confirm that what is said above is correct. There is no need to wait 24 hours after dropping roles before you are able to leave a corporation.
Debate about this behavior aside, if any player feels they are being held in a corporation against their will then they are free to submit a ticket and we can investigate.
