Amarr will become even more unstoppable as their dropsuits are geared towards Armor tanking. All they would need is 1 Armor Rep Module and the rest would be Armor Plates and ugh. Dat Amarr. They could switch that formula around and still be nasty.
Caldari? They needed this and now with the Rail Rifle, they'll be FOTM worthy.
Gallente? I wanted Armor Rep ;-; but I guess it makes sense for Armor Plates since that would mean we can fit less Armor Plate Modules on than before while adding on Armor Reps and whatever else.
Minmatar...As a Gallente, I don't want none of that. NONE OF THAT. That Combat Rifle? DAT COMBAT RIFLE. Ugh. I already melt like butter but now it's going to be devastating. I know a few people who will be very happy to hear this.

currently 2 damage mods = 1.187 times more damage. currently 3 damage mods = just about 1.244 times more damage.
With that minmatar bonus, 2 damage mods = 1.238 times more damage.
Yes it makes a HUGE difference. It means that 2 damage mods on a minnie assault would = 3 damage mods on a different assault.
Oh and LOL at the amarr stuff. CCP shanghai once again showing that they have never even looked at eve.
EDIT: to expand.
It appears that amarr rof bonus is purely there to make any amarrian weapon worse, because they will overheat way faster, also the repair rate bonus is more or less useless with how TTK is, oh and amrrian are the buffer tanking race in new eden. Switch the amarr rep rates bonus with the gallente armor plate bonus and things might make just a tiny bit of sense.
While there is no better place to be wealthy than the Gallente Federation, there is no hell worse for the poor either.

I don't like how all the assault rof bonuses are generic and identical. I want diversity not uniformity. Might as well increase the rof on all the light weapons across the board. I would much rather see the bonus be racial and different from each other. Cooldown times, reload times, rof times, increased magazine, increased range, higher precision ratings, lower cpu/pg, increased max ammo and better zoom. There is a list that took me 10 seconds and I am stupid. I just don't like any of the bonuses being the same.

I am up for any types of bonuses as long as they make the suit differnt from the other suits, Like the logi we have now all have bonus that is the same as the others. What is the point of skilling into a suit if its bonus is almost identical to the others? Make the suits totally different so the choice of suit means a lot. Seems lazy to give all 4 suits a RoF bonus.

Umm, that's the role bonus, which is the same across all suits, no matter the race, which makes sense. Assault=Assault, Logi=Logi, etc...
Its the racial that should be different, and, that is what is different.
I like that they are trying to change things, but hate some of the changes they made... |

Yeah, that sounds Amarrian to me. At least you Assaults can get 400+ Shields :P The max I can get on my Logi is 368 Shields :( Works for dual tanking, but that's about it.

Aww they took out the one most characteristic feature of the Amarr assault and replaced it with poorly thought out, and generally not in keeping with EVE side lore, bonuses which really suck.
Every Amarr assault liked their heat bonus, it wasn't the best but it was ours.....

Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

Assuming every assault is using their racial assault weapon, this RoF buff is going to be most disadvantageous to the Scrambler Rifle, as you are trying to control your shots, not spam them. Furthermore the max possible ROF is still limited by how fast one can press the trigger, so for most people the maximum possible ROF of the SR doesn't matter.
The removal of heat bonus to Amarr, coupled with the ROF bonus to all assault suits will mean that the SR no longer has any advantages on being put on an Amarr Assault vs any other type of gun. While I don't mind the idea of having any assault being able to fit any guy, I feel that the racial bonuses of each suit should prove to be most advantageous to their own gun. (Such as the heat build up for Amarr) this bonus would not be so much that other racial suits couldn't run the weapon, nor so much that the suit feels gimped by wielding another racial weapon.
Also as others have said, aren't Amarr supposed to be the buffer tanks? |

Min assault might be UP or OP it depends on how it stacks against the assault suits with that 25% efficacy at level 5. Look at the Gallente which will now have more than 800 armor with 4 enhanced plates, a 10% DPS increase and 2-3 damage mods. I am not even gonna bother being a Logistics with these arounds. I am going to get destroyed. |

A scout is supposed to run solo until the assaults arrive. A dropship is pointless (if it's not assault) if there aren't assaults to transport. Heavies are not supposed to be the main combat unit. Commandos are specialized for versatility in situations without support. A LAV is a speed boost for small teams. HAV should be fire support on open terrain. The assault goes in and has the health/speed/dps combo most suited for quickly moving around while destroying most targets.
The only question is why players have to skill into Assault. Shouldn't that tree get a faction-specific lvl 1 unlock for beginners and have the basic blueprints with racially aligned weapons? (The BPO should be medium and not assault, though, because BPO mlt assault would be kinda wonky in terms of the effect it has on gameplay) |

To all who are saying the damage modifier bonus on the Minmatar Assault bonus is no big deal.....
Remember this, the Proto Minmatar Assault suit has 5 high slots. (I dunno if this has been brought up in page 2 or 3, ifso I apologize) This can be taken to new heights. Like with the Thale? With 5 Damage mods they are already pumping out 1050ish for headshots. Imagine with a 25% increase to your mods. Even with the stack penalties. Without the Racial bonus, you get about a 28.25% with 5 Mods. With the new Racial bonus it bumps that up to 35.3125%. That brings that head shot up to 1202 damage. Just saying guys.

I picked it because I got tired of being cut down almost every single match by multiple squads that ran the same suit. I actually would probably still use it but there's no armor repair bonus anymore.

People got one for vehicles and I didn't hear that kind of BS for them when they had modules removed. Same thing applies to suits as far as I'm concerned. Same with people that even did Amarr assault for the cool down bonus. They got the shaft also so just like vehicles under that logic we should get suit respects because the base fundamentals of the suits themselves changed. Logistics no longer has armor repair bonuses.
I can't really complain all that much though because I tucked some exp into assault variants so if there isn't a respec I won't die, but it's just an annoyance.

The difference between a damage modded Assault suit and a Minmatar would be 11.5% damage vs 25% more HP.
That would come down to your tactical play style I guess. If you're super accurate, good at long range attacks, and/or are good at getting the jump on people could probably easily destroy people with the Minmitar suit damage bonus. Otherwise Gallente would most likely still be king for the tanking suit.

Being that we skill into a specific races basic frame, (equivalent to T1 ships) and from there we have a general skill for role specialized suits (equivalent to T2 ships)? Have a level in the specialized skill would benefit suits of all races, but if you don't have the skills for one races basic suits you couldn't use it. |

Increase to RoF
SCR already requires you to be able to pull the trigger 11.25 times per second to get max dps (not possible without a turbo controller). Now that will increase to 12.95 times per second, and it will only benefit turbo users.
Loss of heat build-up bonus
Well for those few turbo controller users that are left, now you will over heat your gun in like 1.2 seconds, so no reason to no use the equally effect CR instead.
Rep bonus:
I don't even have the words for explaining the complete disconnect from new-eden that is shown here. I guess we are going to add unicorns next just "because", why not, it makes as much sense.
While there is no better place to be wealthy than the Gallente Federation, there is no hell worse for the poor either.

I guess here's another concern of mine that there's no answers to necessarily at this time which has a very large importance. According to these new findings, for gallente and caldari assault suits, there's supposed to be a 5% per level add on to all respective armor and shielding dropsuit modules. Does this compound now with already existing skills? We will end up with a cumulative total of armor or will existing skills become removed and obsolete? Because under this principle we'd have the following:
Gallente suits
Gallente Assault Bonus: +5% to HP bonus of armor plate modules per level. +5% per level to maximum armor, +2% armor module efficacy per level
Caldari Suits
Caldari Assault Bonus: +5% to bonus of shield extender modules per level. +5% per level to maximum shields, +2% shield extender efficacy per level
Or now will the overall maximum increase skills be removed and replaced by these suit bonuses? If those skills disappear, are we going to get that SP back or is it just going to disappear entirely as some people have had happen to them prior?

What is the point of a repair bonus for an assault suit with three lows? Hoping to god that there's either a slot reshuffle to go with the skill changes, or a respec.

Great, I got my Amarr Assault because I wanted the best laser. Then the laser got f*cked so I got a Scrambler Rifle to have something to use on the suit. Now I needn't have bothered with any of it.
The only bonuses that needed changing were the shield recharge, the Caldari's UP shield extender, and the Gallente's useless PG reduction. We were happy with the rest. Every day that I consider how f*cking moronic the devs making these decisions have to be, I always wonder if the real incentive is simply to keep us in a constant need of more SP.

Perhaps that's their pathetic idea of attempting to extend this already majority failure of a FPS. They think if they keep restructuring SP requirements that people will stay around longer and stop the hemorrhaging of people leaving.

All the other suits get bonusses that are usefull "During" combat, extra shields, extra armor and extra damage but the Amarr suit gets a bonus thats only good for After the Fight (Assuming you can get through those 25% extra EHP) and those 25% on 7 armor reps is bringing it to a whopping 8.75 and it makes using reactive plates impposible because then your not using the bonus at all.
Minmatar however also draws a short straw, because they will "need" to equip damage mods now or be totally useless, same as Amarr needing to fit a repper, where with the other 2 suits, everyone on those has Shields are Armor plates anyhow.
Best Assault suit will now be the Gallente with its extra 25% Armor, so you can fit something else and be faster then everyone else while having more armor.
Guess its time to say bye bye to the Amarr Assault.

I beg to argue, as a Armor Rep user.
Armor Reps are NEVER for after the battle. They're active reps. You know what that means? Even while in battle they rep you. Shields repair is for after the battle or during cover. Without a bonus to Armor Rep per level, I can stack two Complex Armor Repairs and get 12.50 Armor Per Second. The Amarr should be able to go beyond that and then some. 12.50 Armor Per second is already top-tier in usefulness but now you guys can go higher.
tl;dr: Don't underestimate Armor Reps
