Min assault might be UP or OP it depends on how it stacks against the assault suits with that 25% efficacy at level 5. Look at the Gallente which will now have more than 800 armor with 4 enhanced plates, a 10% DPS increase and 2-3 damage mods. I am not even gonna bother being a Logistics with these arounds. I am going to get destroyed. |

Why is Assaults being FTOY a bad thing? Shouldn't Assault be the basic role, with everything else having lower numbers? A logi is supposed to assist assaults. A scout is supposed to run solo until the assaults arrive. A dropship is pointless (if it's not assault) if there aren't assaults to transport. Heavies are not supposed to be the main combat unit. Commandos are specialized for versatility in situations without support. A LAV is a speed boost for small teams. HAV should be fire support on open terrain. The assault goes in and has the health/speed/dps combo most suited for quickly moving around while destroying most targets.
The only question is why players have to skill into Assault. Shouldn't that tree get a faction-specific lvl 1 unlock for beginners and have the basic blueprints with racially aligned weapons? (The BPO should be medium and not assault, though, because BPO mlt assault would be kinda wonky in terms of the effect it has on gameplay) |

To all who are saying the damage modifier bonus on the Minmatar Assault bonus is no big deal.....
Remember this, the Proto Minmatar Assault suit has 5 high slots. (I dunno if this has been brought up in page 2 or 3, ifso I apologize) This can be taken to new heights. Like with the Thale? With 5 Damage mods they are already pumping out 1050ish for headshots. Imagine with a 25% increase to your mods. Even with the stack penalties. Without the Racial bonus, you get about a 28.25% with 5 Mods. With the new Racial bonus it bumps that up to 35.3125%. That brings that head shot up to 1202 damage. Just saying guys.

I picked it because I got tired of being cut down almost every single match by multiple squads that ran the same suit. I actually would probably still use it but there's no armor repair bonus anymore.

People got one for vehicles and I didn't hear that kind of BS for them when they had modules removed. Same thing applies to suits as far as I'm concerned. Same with people that even did Amarr assault for the cool down bonus. They got the shaft also so just like vehicles under that logic we should get suit respects because the base fundamentals of the suits themselves changed. Logistics no longer has armor repair bonuses.
I can't really complain all that much though because I tucked some exp into assault variants so if there isn't a respec I won't die, but it's just an annoyance.

I picked it because I've been using the Logi suit since Open Beta. And yes Logis need a respec, the passive bonuses completely change role of each suit. |

That's exactly it, 2.5% IS nothing. You would have to make your suit a glass cannon to get any sort of benefit out of that racial skill.

The difference between a damage modded Assault suit and a Minmatar would be 11.5% damage vs 25% more HP.
That would come down to your tactical play style I guess. If you're super accurate, good at long range attacks, and/or are good at getting the jump on people could probably easily destroy people with the Minmitar suit damage bonus. Otherwise Gallente would most likely still be king for the tanking suit.

Am I the only one that feels like dropsuit skills in Dust should follow ship skills in EVE? Being that we skill into a specific races basic frame, (equivalent to T1 ships) and from there we have a general skill for role specialized suits (equivalent to T2 ships)? Have a level in the specialized skill would benefit suits of all races, but if you don't have the skills for one races basic suits you couldn't use it. |

Yeah but Ccp has abandoned making the game like eve to be more like cod. We need to add capacitors to suits also, knock slots to eight, and add way more suits. |

So to sum things up everyone is in agreement right? These changes kill the amarr assault.
Increase to RoF
SCR already requires you to be able to pull the trigger 11.25 times per second to get max dps (not possible without a turbo controller). Now that will increase to 12.95 times per second, and it will only benefit turbo users.
Loss of heat build-up bonus
Well for those few turbo controller users that are left, now you will over heat your gun in like 1.2 seconds, so no reason to no use the equally effect CR instead.
Rep bonus:
I don't even have the words for explaining the complete disconnect from new-eden that is shown here. I guess we are going to add unicorns next just "because", why not, it makes as much sense.
While there is no better place to be wealthy than the Gallente Federation, there is no hell worse for the poor either.
