It is really easy to get your profile down below 36 DB. They would just rather stack armor. They call me the C.L.I.T commander.

Well actually, If the Duvolle FOCUSED A.Scanner gets removed the scout its already in a GREAT position. Even usable in PC's since they WILL be truly invisible. At level 5 scout with Lv 5 Dampening the Scout can Avoid the really common ADVANCED A.Scanners. This without using Modules. With one BASIC PROFILE DAMPENER he can already fool every Proto Scanner there is,without having to spend too much CPU, wich they heavily lack. Reducing the Scan precision to 40 instead of 45 might work on their favor next to ANOTHER RADAR RANGE increase, to 20mts by default. If scouts can get to be TRULY invisible in everyones radar,its already a GREAT step towards buffing them...well..US. The Best Damage Mod, its a Headshot....

JK but really all suits start at 50 DB The advanced scannners pick up everything over 36 DB. The proto scanners pick up everything over 28 DB Exept the one that picks up anything over 15 DB) So we take our profile dampening skill and find out the total bonus given. At level 5 The bonus is 10 percent if i am not mistaken so every suit already has 10 percent subtracted. Which is 5 making your suit have a 45 DB reading. It is basic math. figure it out yourself Proto dampeners give a 25 percent reduction if i remember correctly. which gives you roughly a DB of 33ish. So i would say at least 2 profile dampeners to avoid most proto scanners. But not many people run them. get below 36 and see for yourself. They call me the C.L.I.T commander.

So MLT armour, rep and damp. Turrent - the sound a tankers pants makes when he finds out the four swarm militia doing squats around him aren't AFK.

However, since I run a Raven suit in pubs/FW, that means I can't repair myself. i have to use a compact nanohive to get any armor reps. I haven't done PC battling in a long time, but being able to rep your armor passively was a necessity even then. Since the CPU and PG was dropped, my suit has also needed a CPU upgrade to do anything useful for competitive battles. Even with all of the "required" skills and equipment to complain, it feels unfair to compete in such a lopsided battle against scanners. On top of that, I am fighting a battle that I can not possibly win no matter what I do. With proto scanners in game, it wouldn't matter if I fit all three low slots with complex dampeners at level five damp skill (whatever its called). I understand the importance of giving every role a niche. But there is also value in having multiple ways to counter a threat. Not "I hope you're in a Galente Scout suit" as the only option. Assaults need at least two dampeners just for adv, and even more if they want to beat proto scanners. There also isn't any way to counter scanners, like a radar or TacNet jammer...so yes there is a problem with the dB system and dampeners...maybe not scanners themselves Honestly, dampeners need to be changed so that one complex will allow any medium suit to get under adv, and any scout to get under proto. No proto scout with complex dampeners will be able to hide.

Which can be spammed nonstop, killing any chance of stealth. Level 5 Proficiency in Tupperware handling.

Use A Med frame,say Amarr Logi A/1 series? with 2 Cx Dam Mods? And i still get scanned. Lvl 5 Dampening + 2 Comp. Dampening Mods, on an Amarr Logi, gets you a Profile of 27db. Enough to dodge every scanner but the Flux My DUST Experience
