Shield recharge rate, recharge delay, and depleted recharge delay. I'm not by the game right now. But from experience it feels like that the suits, mainly the assault, and basic med frames all have the same shield recovery stats. Shouldn't the caldari suits have better shield recovery stats to emphasize their shield tanking theme?
And possibly a slightly altered CPU, and GP supply that isn't identical to the gelente suit.

Yes they should. 30 Per sec for the Assault and the logi 25, without passives.
At Lv 5 a Cal Assault will recharge 37.5 per sec. To make the suits worth while. A mix between Assaults HP and Scout's Shield regen.

Yeah they might have their shield extenders 10% efficiency crap bonus changed for something offensive, but in the case of the 25% shield recharge, that bonus works for Cals....

Your caldari suit can get better shield recharge stats when the minmatar assault does, it has the worst out of all the assault suits and its shield based. You clowns get 31hp/s base with assault lvl 5, with a complex energizer and assault 5 im getting around 35hp/s where as you guys get 49hp/s with the same set up and recharge timers of 5/8 where as mine is 6/10.

I wish it was viable to use a regulator, but i simply have no choice but to stack plates in my lows ATM.
The most important thing at the moment is to be able to survive the alpha damage from ScR etc. |

Just the Caldari because they are shield tankers, are are currently a little outclassed by any other suit that decides to heavy armor tank.
A buff to their recharging ability is better then a straight HP buff.

I can honestly say that the shield on the Assault is way better than the Basic in response to weapons fire and damage . When I'm in my Basic Advanced my shields are three hundred and over and they fall much quicker than they do as opposed to when I'm in my Assault where my shields are at two sixty five at the most . I live way longer in my Assault for some reason and don't forget you get that added boost from the actual skill set when you up a level on the suit .

The answer is yes. As should minmatar, the amarr logi should not have the lowest depleted recharge delay in the game it makes no sense. Shields have nothing but a vehicle module no one uses for remote reps, we are at the mercy of our stupid timers that honestly take too damn long. And before you ask, no I don't think handheld remote shield reps are a good idea just imagine a heavy with a core focus and some insane buffer via a handheld shield transporter. I'd like to see both races get a 5% reduction skill tied to their suits along with some sort of rework done to regulators.
Dedicated redline sniper, tower forger, nade spammer, protostomper, and mass driver.

I think a solution to make shield tanking viable would be a buff to the cal suit basic shield recharge time and fully depleted recharge time.. maybe 3sec and for fully depleted shield 5sec wich both can be affected by regulators.. however then a slight nerf to the rechargerate might be necessary I think this would encourage to "hit and run kind of playstyle" wich someone told me is the caldari way.. |

Mass drivers and grenades do 120% damage to armour and 80% to shields.

Rechargers and energizers just aren't worth it right now, not enough HP to make any use of them.
Only time this is viable is dual tanking and at that point you're no longer shield tanking. |

No. I'm guessing you suck at fitting but my Caldari Assault is much better overall than my Gal Assault.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

Explosives do 20%. Look at the chart in the weapons blog, shields get better overall resistances.

Today I lost to a F***** bunny hopping Armarr with a ScR. Suit turn ratio f***** horrible. Its a F***** sad day when a 1600+ EhP Suit gets wiped out by a ScR at close range. My MH 82 was no match. Another match proving my point. I was running my Dren Assault I came upon a Heavy. I pull out my Toxin Sub and run circles around the poor fellow, half way thru his armor he gave up his HMG and tried to use a sub vs. a sub. By that time it was to late. Down he went and I felt so bad for him, he was outclassed form the start, not from skill but from poor design.

You want a buff in addition to your ability to stack plates and/or put a regulator and drop your timer to 4/7? Give up a low slot. Then i'll accept it.
Or hell, swap slot layout with the minmatar assault. Because the minnie assault is the weakest in the game. Can't remove AA so minmatar's ONLY advantage is nullified. That and i can't even armor tank thx to caldaris having more base armor and lows, mixed with lower max shield (555) and shield regen(at lv5 its 17 i believe) Also i think you should get in line: heavies and scouts are first.

Gallente: Shield recharge: 15 Hp/s Shield delay: 7s Shield depleted delay: 8s
Amarr: Shield recharge: 17 Hp/s Shield delay: 6s Shield depleted delay: 7s

Although the difference is more noticeable on the Caldari assault suit.

Caldari Logi Pro 5/4 slot layout Amarr Logu Pro 3/4 slot layout with the same sidearm
I mean what the flying f*cks ? How come the Caldari sprouts an additional 4 slots while the Amarr grows 1 slot ??? its defo not the sidearm, because otherwise the advanced suit should have a layout of 2/2...
Amarr assault Pro 3/3 slot layout ....hey look if i just take the amarr advanced logi and just use the Carthum, it allows me to fit 2 equipment slots on that sh*t while having the exact same tank as my assault Pro suit....
I could go on, but i mean who ever is balancing them, should talk to the person next to him doing the other suit...because it obviously is rocket science to balance them ....

Honestly I think this not only limited to Slot layouts IMHO the whole dropsuit conception is sometimes very weird, regarding stats and balance CCP should be somewhat closer to the EVE principles with Dropsuits instead of experimenting with new preferences. |

i think the rechargers are fine, but the regulators need love. i'd say buff the complex regulator to 35-40% or make an additional regulator mod that gives a much higher % but lowers shield hp like the energizers do. |

They already do. Recharge rate of 25, vs 20 for Gal & Ama, 18 for Min The recharge delay & depleted delay are also better, but I can't remember those numbers.

Nobody ever cares about the poor minmatars. I've been running around playing this game on hard mode for months in my Minnie assault while suffering through all the FOTMs and never made a peep. Sorry things got so tough for you caldaris, now you actually have to get good. Nope let's just cry about it instead. I'll continue to spray my extra 20 bullets from my SMG in your general direction.
