(Note: instead of removing repeat questions, I left them in so we can get a feel for where the player-base's mindset is.) (EDIT: I didn't copy all the requests for the racial variants, since it's something I'm personally not that invested in, but after I found myself compiling a summery of this thread, I would like to add that for the record lots of people asked about the variants.)
--gametypes-- Do you have any new gametypes in the pipeline? The 3 we have are sorta stale...
Any New Game Modes on the horizon? Again with some form of timescale guestimate........
Will we get asymmetric gamemodes? E.g., Defenders starting with a hackable defender missile installation to reduce incoming dps on their MCC?
Skirm 1.0 (Conquest Mode) How hard would it be to rework this type of system back into dust? Would this be a major project or side project that a team could work on?
How does the CCP view the need for new game modes?
What is the expected rate of new content release...specifically new maps and (especially) new objective based game modes. What are his thoughts on the current variety that we have in terms of game modes? Did content release suffer significantly because of the renewed focus on core mechanics? Does the development team expect to provide new game modes even if they will not have a direct tie-in with EVE Online as soon as they are launched?
--suit roles-- Why has the heavy class been so neglected of late? The class went from being scary to being a laughing stock. Honestly both scout and heavy classes took a back seat. What's being done to give other classes a role in this game?
I'd like to hear what they're going to be doing to bring a bit more love to the under-used / under-appreciated roles in the game, like heavies (currently only one racial variant and only two heavy weapons), scouts (2 racial variants, no real big niche in the game)
Whats the point of scouts and heaves getting less slots than assault suits?
Some suits are effectively redundant because other suits can fulfill the roles better than originally intended.
When can we expect the assault suit to be changed from being a basic dropsuit with racial bonuses to something unique?
Where do you plan on taking the Scout class? What specific roles do you see it playing on the battlefield? (Beside a faster assault)
Large and small frames pay in slots, PG, and CPU, to specialize in their roles. What exactly are their roles, and what are you doing to improve these suits in their function?
--dust eve link-- Will EVE-launched OBs ever be able to target and destroy surface infrastucture?
Thoughts on how Valkyrie will interact with DUST and vice versa?
Apart from Fac War, how will Dust mercs and corps be of value to Eve pilots and corps?
I would like to be able to use dust mercs to bring things out of reinforcement on the eve side. any chance I'll be able to do that someday?
what are the most practical and low effort / high impact ways to incentivize EVE side participation and support of Dust? Why haven't we implemented those steps yet and when are we?
--less lobby, more MMO-- How and when are we going to evolve DUST out of the lobby shooter structure it's currently trapped in? Is that going to happen on the PS3 or will we need to wait for a more robust platform?
What are the necessary and sufficient conditions for CCP to begin thinking about allowing us to break out of the lobby and into the sandbox?
When will I, as a merc, be able to head out onto the land, set up my geodesic cabin, and build a still and start producing some fine single malt up in those alien hills?
--your vision-- What still needs to be addressed, if at all, before you feel the game has a good solid foundation to work with?

With the small player base meaning that Scotty the AI cant prevent high skilled players getting into matches with new players are there plans to artificially keep them separate till Scotty can? Scotty can't work well with too few players, protostomping is putting new players off. Vicious circle..
Where are we with being able to have practice fields or tutorials that don't involve being thrown into a match with others?

--corp tools-- More Corp control and integration with EVE side, please, if eve can do it, we should have the tools for it as well. note recent ceo issues.
Corp Hangers and fittings on the way? When are Dust mercs going to get full admin powers over chat channels they created? When is corp UI going to fixed as to hinder EVE pilots able to steal Dust corps using shares? When can a merc's employment history, title and bio be seen in Dust? When will medals be grantable for corps to permanently reward their members which will go with them throughout their careers? Will a way to pay multiple mercs for a battle rather than individually be forthcoming? Can corps have a automatic sliding scale of payment to its mercs based on war points earned or a fixed payment system.
--vanity stuff-- Will we be getting appearance customization?
When are permanent vanity items gong to be here? Golden skinned guns, suit lighting, different coloured laser beams, etc etc?
Corp customized colours for dropsuits, doing our own paint jobs for Aurum etc. Is this being developed or will it be?
Will CEO's have the ability to have a corp livery for suits and vehicles? (I'd pay good money for that)
Will Corp MCC's and Warbarges, both inside and out, reflect the crop livery?
--misc-- When will ALL statistical increases in Dropsuit/Vehicle attributes from skill increases be shown on a fitting screen?
Will the vehicle rebalancing require a partial re-spec for vehicle skills?
What role will the BPO's already in the game play in the future? Are they sellable, planned to be used in industry, refunded as Aurum to spend on permanent vanity items?
Are the Devs aware of and/or concerned about trends toward weapon/role homogeneity?
...So for the sake of people acctualy having lives, here's the TL:DR.
TL:DR PVE!!! Where is it? SOONtm-ed a long time ago, and would fix so many problems.
Player base getting bored. Need new content. Espicially new game modes and racial suits/weapons/vehicles. (New maps are welcome too, but the map guys have been actually talking to us, so no one's stressing about it.)
LogiSuit514. Logis are better at assaulting than Assaults are, and Heavys and Scouts are having trouble performing their roles. Thoughts??
EVE link. Dust's connection to New Eden is it's primary USP in a market saturated in FPS's. What's the near, medium, and long-term status of this?
Closely related to the above, "where my MMO at?" Dust is supposed to be an MMO-FPS, but we're seeing a lot of one and little of the other. Again, what's the near, medium, and long-term status of this?
Need more meat for the grinder! NPE, some good work has been done recently; what more can we expect in the coming updates?
No bunnies in the board room. Dust-side corp UI is limited to the point of being broken. Needing an EVE char to manage this is absurd. Again, some good work has been done recently; need to know more is in the near-term pipeline.
Shut_up_and_take_my_money.jpg! Vanity items (corp and player side). Feel free to put them in whenever's convenient for you. But understand, the sooner they're in, the sooner you can expect a massive jump in your ARPU.

the true 'mobile' aspect of ccp has only been in the works since last may or so. maybe april. so i'd say it's pretty early for that kind of thing.
if crest continues to open up, then 3rd party apps will abound. that's what you should push for. |

Though there are a lot of vital issues in the game right now, I actually have a lot of faith that CCP are aware of them, and actively working on resolving them.
So, in the end, I think these are my only three real questions (since I feel they're very important, but for some reason CCP has been strangely silent/slow-moving on them):
- PVE Would add greatly to MMO, Immersion, NPE, and gameplay variety. Assets, design and (presumably) code were demoed a long time ago; where is it?
- Corp UI Corps are vital to New Eden, but the Dust UI incomplete to the point of being functionally broken. We'd like an assurance that CCP agrees this is a priority; that small fixes are coming in the near term, and that big fixes are coming in the medium term.
- Game-types We need new content. While I have faith that maps and racial variants are coming, there has been little talk from CCP about new gameplay variants. While full-MMO is the long term goal, in the mean time while we are trapped in the lobby-shooter, a quickly coded new activity (Domination variant with a moving objective, or a CTF with a slapped-on narrative reason for it, or Skirmish 1.0, etc..) would give a lot of gameplay bang for CPP's development buck. |

I HAVE A BRILLIANT IDEA!
Well, we were in squad with a few of my corp members and we were talking about this.
The inertia drop needs to have a ripple effect like a flux grenade. You could even make a passive skill for it. So the circumference around you as you hit the ground starts at say 50m then +5% per level. If it was a type of flux grenade then this would deal with the planetary conquest/team kills - it would only knock shields down.

Fix for the DropShip turret-aim resetting bug that's been causing all my gunners to quit Dust since Uprising? ( 6 months)
Also how are those new vehicles and turrets coming?
We've heard plans at least for each vehicle class except ONE: the heavy aircraft vehicle Heard of Jets (light air) Dropship (medium air) Bikes, LAV, MAV, HAV but no heavy air vehicle info.

Perhaps a bit too detailed question but:
Wouldn't having a equipment fitting reduction bonus be the most suitable bonus for logis, replacing the current armor self rep bonus? That would help logis use their slots without hampering their normal combat capabilities?

-Heavy modules for suits? -More base HP on all suits? -why were base suit HP dropped in the first place? -any progress on bonuses being suit specific instead of skill specific?? -more meaningful roles for T2 heavy and light suits? (IE assassin/hacking/intel scouts and shield wall/Juggernaut heavies descriptions below) -When will the maps be opened up more? frankly tanks and dropships are just not going to work on the playing areas we currently have(please prove me wrong ccp Wolfman, I don't see it happening tho) -when do we get lunge or sprint while charging nova knives? -when do you expect to be ready for a PS4 release?(I'm assuming that you are holding off on that until the game is actually release ready) -new maps are AWSOME!!! Why do they never seem to pop up in FW? -the two part skirmish from the pre E3 build, I know we are not getting that back but might we see something like it in the current maps soon?? so much unused space. -do you play and if so what races rifle will you use, if any? -Can swarms get their dumb fire back with this range nerf? while the swarm shotgun was op against infantry, it was the only way to fight tanks danger close. -whats the plan with scouts? If light frames work the same way med frames do, the minmatar assault will move faster then the amarr scout. I know their are technical limitations but the speed gap needs to be widened or scouts serve no purpose. although again good roles for scouts could mitigate this. -I wanna ask what the designers of the plasma cannon were thinking, but damn I love that thing too much to knock it. - why are large turrets better at anti infantry then small turrets?? why not give them higher cyclical rates and better accuracy then the large???? and why are large turrets almost pinpoint accurate?? -whats your favorite shooter prior to your involvement in dust? -why did you move away from the denial of area/crowed suppression/support mass driver to the more, one on one, direct fire MD that exists now?? -why not give logis smaller clips, or lower ammo caps, so as to remove their teeth with out preventing them from defending themselves/doing their jobs? if its been discussed what other Ideas have been thrown around. -redlines and hiding/fight in them, have their been any conversations about this, or is this just gonna be left alone, or is it an artifact that will be a none issue in a later iteration of this game.

t2 light frames: 1) intel scout bonus to scan ranges and shared tacnet vision, if a cov ops cloak equivalent is made in dust can used covops cloak 2)assassin scout, bonuses to damage at a loss of clip size, covops cloak 3)hacking scout, bonuses to hacking speed
T2 heavy frames: 1) shield wall heavy can deploy a shield that protects them from the front for a set period of time but can barely more when deployed. 2) Juggernaut heavy can run in a straight line at near lav speeds for long distances, but cannot run again until stamina is fully recovered and moves extremely slowly until it does. |
