I joined eve 2012.04.26. in anticipation of Dust,
which I got into through Slay in the Event Horison lounge on 2012.06.15.
and shockingly, until a couple of months ago I played every day!!

january 11th, i got the beta in september 2012, played a couple of games and went screw this, then completely forgot about the game, got the "transition to tranquility" email around jan 10th and thought "ooh completely forgot about that lets try it again". so i am technically a closed beta vet, even if i was only in for the last 10 days.

I was here when grenades had a fuse of one second that started when it hit the ground
I was here back when Restless Spirits and Teamplayers were low-player count but high-skill corps.
I was here when swarms were dumbfire.
I was here when remote explosives could be thrown like frisbees.
I was here when (I really miss the origional...) Manus Peak was pretty much the only map the rotation ever let you play on.
I was here when Line Harvest was the only functional map for almost 4 weeks straight.
I was here when all 5 point maps were so laggy that before the match was half over 9 times out of 10 you would have to huddle in a corner and hope to not get shot due to framerate dropping to 1 frame every 10 seconds.
I was here when the game had predictable jumps in the framerate when you ran up on people and people had to learn to incorporate those jumps into their gungame.
I was here when if a tank died in a match, it was because everyone on the other team was running AV and it was a great cause of gloating and celebration.
I was here when the Creodron Breach Assault Rifle was by far the most overpowered weapon in the game.
I was here when the TAR's horizontal aim on the Ds3 was twice as fast as the vertical aim.
I was here when dropships with proto missiles were highly maneuverable and could one-shot even the tankiest of heavies and splash kill anything that was not a heavy.
I am proud to have served as a closed beta vet, and will continue to be for as long as this game remains alive. I haven't been here for the entire fight, but I've been here pretty much since the Carbon engine was scrapped.
Not sure of the exact date, but it was around mid-Replication build when I joined in. Late June/early August of 2012 I believe. |

I started playing eve 7 days after they announced dust 514. (warhawk and mag were my previous titles of choice)
played the closed beta in may of last year, I think. didn't play again heavily until the open beta. |

December 23, 2011 was the first time I played the dust client on my ps3 at home, only weekends, radio outpost, and usually one on one with the head of IT in Atlanta.
I played well into the new year, until the servers were taken down. I had never played a console fps with a controller before (am a PC kbm convert) so I bought bf3 to practice until Mordus Trials went live  |

September last year, I got in by applying for a code back when they first announced beta then got eventually got in. But yeah I bought a merc pack for a UVT and boosters maybe a week in.......damn UVTs I hope they burn in hell  |

Fanfest 2012 - Winning Team + MVP - £1100 in prizes

I didn't have this name but the build before E3 2012 was the first build of Dust I've played.
Feels so long ago, I will say that I don't miss the dumbfire Swarms. |

May 2012. I've taken breaks here and there especially during closed beta. I forget which reset it was, but after one reset I only played a few weeks and then stopped playing til the next one. I couldn't bring myself to get all those skill levels again.

I came in just after Skirmish 1.0  . It's been so long, I'd almost forgotten about the weekends only thing. Buggy or not, I always looked forward to the weekends. Dust has come a long way since then.

Sept 2012. Playstation Plus automatically downloaded the game. It was there for a while before I tried it.
First match I dabbled in a little turret vs MCC. After 4 or 5 minutes I figured out that it wasn't working. |
