I've capped practically every week since then.
Not even the pc mmo "mabinogi" which i spent $120 on, has made me play it that hardcore.

However I'm not sure if the moving MCC wouldn't be a big huge resource drain ... I always figured that was part of the reason skirmish 1.0 was pulled, that and the memory leaks.
Also weren't they the small turrets and possibly Minmatar or at least another factions ? Sure that was part of the buzz at the time, that these were 'the new Caldari turrets n CRUs n Supply Depots'. |

Got in with MPT on June 1, 2012. Had been following the news before and even lurked in IRC. I used a different DUST alt at the time, and confused people in IRC as I used my EVE name, which was similar to a prominent DUST player at the time.
I had not played much FPS since Return to Castle Wolfenstein, so I was a bit out of practice. My first kill was with a shotgun scout, and I became one of the reasons for the timer on remote explosives! The firepower back then led me to learn the way of the Forge Gun to fight the inevitable tank spam.

No corps, no squads, no OBs, no hit detection, and no rendering of anything past 200m! XD I remember how exciting it was when the weekend hit, though. That was just awesome. As much as I got destroyed because of the mountain of bugs and being a complete newb to Dust, it was still tons of fun. The accelerated SP helped alot, though. >.>
I never gonna forget how bad the hit detection and the rendering was. The rendering especially. You'd see a tank in the middle of the road and then it would back up and disappear in thin air. Worse though, Missiles still had infinite range then, so it didn't freakin' matter to them, roflmao. |

Wow. The memories. I loved chromo. Everyone used everything back then, until the invasion of the CoD. Too many ARs.
Anywhoo, I started playing a week or two before open beta, could've joined earlier, but didn't get around to it. I'll tell you a hint on how I got in: I have a Guristas Saga and 25 HK4Ms, also 20,000 Aurum just sitting there. Haven't spent any of it.

Almost a year now...middle November of last year.
I went to a military base in Nevada for 3 weeks, got bored after the first week and bought a PS3 at the exchange because it came with uncharted 3. Also came with a beta key for dust.
It was pretty late in the chromosome build when I came in I guess, tough time to be a noob. I ordered Zitro's book though and got some lessons lol.
I miss the type 2 heavy suits and the old 3 point map (old manus peak ?). It was also pretty sweet pulling in 30k+ sp on the first game or 2 of the week if you had a solid game. And when they implemented that damn daily cap, it was miserable.
