Any chat you would recommend? try the generals new bc corp. i will squad with you and several other great players. we all have mics and like to have a good time.

Our chat for General BC is "gen camp". BC stands for boot camp but we will not ignore our smaller training corp. We have alot of our top players with over 16m sp are there training everyone and squadding with our newer players daily. We are a pretty close corp. We consider each other friends instead of just corp mates. |

raw kdr is just one element.. and a shallow one at that. but the most common element that people look at up front... whether your listed char kdr or your kdr over a specific period of tryout, and desired kdr sometimes varies based on role and SP level. in competitive play there are a lot of other factors to consider as well. and on the most competitive teams it's often about whether you can play a necessary role that they are short on.
the requirement that you fit in and get along is understood / obviously implied.
good luck. I feel like the SP gap between me and you guys is somehow unfillable and that for this reason the best corporations will never really find me interesting... (insert sad face). This is probably the only thing of DUST that really feels "unfair" to me. It's really not that like that to be honest. At some point there is only so much SP you can have impacting any given dropsuit. Probably the least for heavies (dropsuit, plates, reps, dmg mods, grenades, 2x weapons, core HP & fitting as required), then for assaults (add some equipment and skill sidearms), then scouts (need mobility mods), then logis (need to max equipment skills). ~10mil is sort of a good, round number baseline for assaults where it is assumed you have prototype modules to fit on your suit for at least one decent fit, a prototype suit, a prototype weapon, and core skills to at least IV.
After that, it's just about maxing out with very limited benefit in exchange for huge SP sinkage, and diversifying. After about ~15mil on an assault class most of the noticeable effects of "maximizing" have taken effect and people start diversifying.
[Edit: And the above is honestly commentary on PC-readiness ... at the pub match level you can have a ton of fun and rack up kills for quite less than 1million SP. Don't forget, this is a long-term game that will be around for years with constant updates, and with regular double and triple SP events and boosters you are talking around three months until you are well on your way to a quite solid proto setup. Don't fret... it's not "never"] |

I didn't get through the entire thread, but I can tell you that if you are picking a corp because they are a "Top corp" you are making a mistake. Top corps come and go thus far in Dust. The previous corp I was in was a top 10 corp leader boards wise and had some success for awhile, now its not even in Dust. You are better off finding people you like playing with rather than just going to a corp because they are at the top at the moment because it can always change.

Personally, I love my Corp because they're a bunch of nice guys, they are exactly that kind of people you always have fun with, but we are generally open to new players and in the end this makes us a "relaxed" Corp, even though part of us kicks butts (there's a huge skill gap among our members). But I'm pretty sure it's very different for those "Top" Corps. I'd like to know "fun" is an important factor, but of course skill is a priority for competitive corporations.
Besides K/D Ratio (I don't know how important it is, after all), what are the recruitment criteria for such high-level Corps?
First off dont join the biggers ones. Work from the ground up, There are alot of good players out there they arent in the bigger corps.
If you want to be in the bigger corps. First be good at the game and have the SP to to run proto. |

That's how I joined Zion and Red Star. I just happened to fall into a battle with them, and they had an open slot.
Basically you have to squad up with them and show them, "Hey, I'm a kickass player. You may want me" If they like you, they may even invite you to the corp |

Most of the big corps require you to fill out a written "test".
The most common questions asked are.
- What's your K/D ratio? - Are you PC ready? - What sound does a fox make?

Besides K/D Ratio (I don't know how important it is, after all), what are the recruitment criteria for such high-level Corps? Havent read the entire thread in case this has already been answered, but in STB we have a couple very clear-cut rules for recruits... 1 - Must be over 16 years of age or show an acceptable level of maturity 2 - Must have a mic and use it at all times 3 - Must be tolerant of all beliefs, orientations, relationships, etc. of the members. STB does not judge or discriminate and this is a serious offense. STB takes pride on being a family of players instead of being simply a clan or banner that people play under. We have had two people meet each other through STB and they are getting married soon. In addition, many of our members are friends in real life and have aided one another in significant ways even though they have never met face to face. On top of everything, we believe in playing in a competitive manner and maintaining a strong desire to win as a team, bettering not only ourselves, but our fellow corpmates at all times. In Dust, we also have a couple additional regulations, which if they cannot be met, the player will be referred to our training corp or our sister corp. This is not a denial, but rather us asking you to let us help improve your skills through hands-on training, metagame crunching, and overall improving mental strength. In order to bypass this, your character must possess at least a 2.0 KD, a 2.0 WL, and must have at least 10 million sp. We welcome any and all who are interested to apply, after which we will begin our screening process. o7 Every reason you shouldn't join them just got summed up by them... I join Murderz4hire beccause i was noticed as a tanker. Then Ahrendee Mercs. because something happened to M4H idk. |

Props to Ahrendee Mercernaries though. The few players I met are real cool but when its time to go to work, they go to work. I respect that. I've been thinking about enlisting. |

Team Players are relatively unique in recruiting on Dust. We don't come from this game originally, nor will we remain on this game indefinitely.
Those that join us here by and large are welcomed to the family, and some are already playing other games with clan members.
All about friendship and enjoying each others company.
the difference here is, on top of that, we take pride in WINNING. wherever we are, that's the collective goal.
How to get in?
know someone, play with us, get noticed, good communication, good personality, and obviously, gotta be good.
Its all about chemistry and ability to get along. I don't 'train' people. you start out here being good. From there you simply learn how to be contribute to the TEAM effort with your role.
pretty simple really...

YO to all SVEr feeding ionto Trolls .
End it now
Teamplayers an Chicago do in fact stand superior to SVER. Everyone already knows that.
Regynum, an I as well as SVER, will never get along. So I ask regynum to avoid us an we will avoid you. a gentlemen's agreement.. An yes you have the right to deny such a request for diplomacy. But ask yourself is it truly necessary to continue a feud between us.
I apologies myself for inconveniencing many of the Teamplayers that I have grown to enjoy playing with.
Now I know that TRolls will feast upon this post. So be it. SVEr has aided Teamplayers a few times now. No not anywhere near the level of aid that TP has given SVER. I would hope that by now after the last unfortunate events that some TEAMPLAYERS an former IMPS would have some respect for the tenacity or the fortitude of SVER mercs an forgive the over-zealous act that transpired.
An please understand that as I can lead my men to water an higher morality choices. I cannot force them to drink or choose the right decision. I can however properly handle the situation when it is brought to light for me.
Now on both sides so set on displaying there colors in hopes to intimidate the other. I say "Stand down SVER" Teamplayers this is your rock. I am the first person to see that. No sense in rocking the boat.
No SVEr is to respond here If you do You tags may be voted upon.

I left my last corp because the only people I could ever fin to squad with were tankers, and as a pre uprising logi I found that useless, and boring.
aside from that they already had their A-Team picked and I wouldn't see the light of day in pc matches.
so I scouted corps that still needed pc players, and would have a good amount players to squad with, I was stuck between sver and burgezz honestly, end of the day I figured I would get in more pc battles with burgezz as they had a list of players a mile long.
I choose my corps, they don't choose me.
pick a corp where you can get good squads, and inevitably pc battles, practice, get better, and inevitably play the game you want to play.
if you join a corp just to watch their better players win pc battles an wear their tags, why bother? |
