Personally, I love my Corp because they're a bunch of nice guys, they are exactly that kind of people you always have fun with, but we are generally open to new players and in the end this makes us a "relaxed" Corp, even though part of us kicks butts (there's a huge skill gap among our members). But I'm pretty sure it's very different for those "Top" Corps. I'd like to know "fun" is an important factor, but of course skill is a priority for competitive corporations.
Besides K/D Ratio (I don't know how important it is, after all), what are the recruitment criteria for such high-level Corps? Havent read the entire thread in case this has already been answered, but in STB we have a couple very clear-cut rules for recruits... 1 - Must be over 16 years of age or show an acceptable level of maturity 2 - Must have a mic and use it at all times 3 - Must be tolerant of all beliefs, orientations, relationships, etc. of the members. STB does not judge or discriminate and this is a serious offense. STB takes pride on being a family of players instead of being simply a clan or banner that people play under. We have had two people meet each other through STB and they are getting married soon. In addition, many of our members are friends in real life and have aided one another in significant ways even though they have never met face to face. On top of everything, we believe in playing in a competitive manner and maintaining a strong desire to win as a team, bettering not only ourselves, but our fellow corpmates at all times. In Dust, we also have a couple additional regulations, which if they cannot be met, the player will be referred to our training corp or our sister corp. This is not a denial, but rather us asking you to let us help improve your skills through hands-on training, metagame crunching, and overall improving mental strength. In order to bypass this, your character must possess at least a 2.0 KD, a 2.0 WL, and must have at least 10 million sp. We welcome any and all who are interested to apply, after which we will begin our screening process. o7
Thank you for the very detailed answer, that helps me understand how do you streamline your corporation.
However, a KDR of 2.0 is a much lower requirement than what I expected, while WLR 2.0 is a tough one for people playing solo most of the time.
My KDR should be about 4.0 (I don't remember exactly and rarely check it), but my WLR is 1.30 or something. lol.

I did a corp so that my friends (people i recruited into the game) can play with me and not get stomped every game. Actually, they are all my friends or coworkers. XD Man we suck...
K-D ratio SHOULD NOT be arquirment in any corp. 1.8+ is more than enough, having in consideration how easy it is to pad stats in this game..... |

RND don't have a feeder corps, we at RND have a "waiting room" / "try out corps" to test out new recruit skills, personality, determination, and to see how competitive they are.
For Example the way of Ahrendee :
You will join Ahrendee Day Care first the "waiting room" (1%tax).
Once your membership is approve you get to join Ahrendee PreHardMerc the "main corp"(50%tax).
Ahrendee Day Care and Ahrendee PreHardMerc has the same rule to follow.
Ahrendee Day Care is allow to take part in Corp battle and PC just like the main corp.
New member and old member are not allow to suck on each others, we don't roll that way.
If you meet a troll in Ahrendee like "H20water", Do not believe anything it say till said otherwise.
If Ahrendee do not approve of you, you will be kick out the "waiting room".
The approve may take up to 2 week - 3 year time.
You must have a mic.
We do not like GG, GF, or YOLO form randoms player we don't know.
remember this is only a example. |

it's more about finding a corp you may want to join, hopping in their public chat or recruitment thread, and making contact. each corp will guide you from there. knowledge of the game mechanics, above average gun game and full proto setup in a solid role is a basic requirement... assume 10mil SP as a bare minimum as an assault type as you need core and weapon skills relatively high to go toe-to-toe with PC teams.
raw kdr is just one element.. and a shallow one at that. but the most common element that people look at up front... whether your listed char kdr or your kdr over a specific period of tryout, and desired kdr sometimes varies based on role and SP level. in competitive play there are a lot of other factors to consider as well. and on the most competitive teams it's often about whether you can play a necessary role that they are short on.
the requirement that you fit in and get along is understood / obviously implied.
good luck. |

requirements vary from corp to corp.
Most of them require you to do time in the feeder corps.
Some are chill, some are tryhard trash. The chill ones ask you to prove you're not a douche. the tryhard trash make you take the one ring to mount doom while wearing it on your wang, and armwrestling the nazgul the whole way.
In short, poke around and see who seem to fit your personality. Just don't be shocked if they stick you in the newbie corner for fear that you're actually me infiltrating their corp with intent to awox the **** out of them. |

Better Hide R Die isn't a top 25 corporation in Dust 514, but it is in the top 100.
We don't bother with feeder corporations. You're either in BHD or you're not. BHD is a laid-back group of around 120 folks who like to have fun when playing, with an occasional competitive streak thrown in, too. If you're mature, have a good attitude, get along with others (sort of like the STB policy outlined in an earlier post) and (preferably) a mic, you're in if you've applied.
We've been around since the days of Warhawk years and years ago, and will be around for years to come. |

One mandatory requirements for every top corp HAVE A MIC and know when not to use it.
A.N.O.N.Y.M.O.U.S. has skill requirements based on Total SP, Current Skills, KDR, and you as a person. Its easier to keep track of the requirements with PDF/Google Documents and questionnaire / forms feeding information into those documents. I have about 10 docs keeping track of A.N.O.N.Y.M.O.U.S. metrics and player information. Putting these documents together can be a pain but it makes training and organizing PC matches much easier in the long run. |

Well Madbrute, let me give you some perspective. Ive had the dis-pleasure of actually hearing Regnum on the mic during a match and it's like listening to a hormonal 15 year old girl whining about lag, MD, Murder taxis, Eurof@gs, Eurof@g servers and pretty much anything else that kills him (GOD FORBID).
So as long as we dont get any whiney girls in the corp its all good bro. Plus I believe the only one who can send out threats for TP is Cubs, so I wouldnt worry about it.
