I'm quite curious to know what makes you say: "Ok, this player can join Sver/TeamPlayers/whateverkickasscorporation".
Personally, I love my Corp because they're a bunch of nice guys, they are exactly that kind of people you always have fun with, but we are generally open to new players and in the end this makes us a "relaxed" Corp, even though part of us kicks butts (there's a huge skill gap among our members). But I'm pretty sure it's very different for those "Top" Corps. I'd like to know "fun" is an important factor, but of course skill is a priority for competitive corporations.
Besides K/D Ratio (I don't know how important it is, after all), what are the recruitment criteria for such high-level Corps? |

Usually larger corps have feeder corps where they can harvest isk fro... I mean train newer players. SVER's is Neanderthal Nation, idk about others. Basically swim the proper channels, message a member of the corp you want in and see what you have to do to get where you want to go. |

Be cool and fun to play with. And be generally good. Kd is a good measure, but its more how good you perform in pc.
As for pc, all you need is proto suit, proto weapon, and if not a heavy, proto uplinks! That's it!
Proto uplinks! Yayy :D |

The only corps that use corps feeder corps for income are poor, low tier corporations. |

L.O.T.I.S. Has a simple don't be an ******* requirement, and you have to prove that you're a decently competent team player. Not sure if we still qualify as a top Corp though. |

Yeah, in PC people rarely run out of ammo before they die, lol... hives are not needed.
But Proto Uplinks really suck a ton of PG and CPU... it takes a noticeable amount of SP to upgrade the core skills. With proto shields and weapon I really struggle to use any decent equipment right now.
What about the Scanner? Is it being helpful in PC?

Good to know, thanks! I just got the ADV Quantum and it's awesome. I feel like going to proto for this sweet toy.
Of course I have to upgrade CPU to level 5 before, but everytime I see how many SP it costs I feel demotivated |

You inquire. Your not applying for a position at a RL firm. Tho I know some that treat their corps as such. (looking at you eve players)
Other way is to just keep doing what your doing. That's how I've gotten my invites in every FPS I've played. including this game.

1) Do your research, find a corp you like. 2) Find out who their top players are and wait to catch them in a pub. 3) **** them up. 4) Apply to corp.
Accepted or Declined, at least you stomped them that one time.

I don't know if you were asking because you wanted to get into one of those other corporations. If you were, I'd urge you to think about what you said about your current corporation. You may find that having is not so pleasing a thing, after all, as wanting. It is not logical, but it is often true.

Havent read the entire thread in case this has already been answered, but in STB we have a couple very clear-cut rules for recruits...
1 - Must be over 16 years of age or show an acceptable level of maturity 2 - Must have a mic and use it at all times 3 - Must be tolerant of all beliefs, orientations, relationships, etc. of the members. STB does not judge or discriminate and this is a serious offense.
STB takes pride on being a family of players instead of being simply a clan or banner that people play under. We have had two people meet each other through STB and they are getting married soon. In addition, many of our members are friends in real life and have aided one another in significant ways even though they have never met face to face.
On top of everything, we believe in playing in a competitive manner and maintaining a strong desire to win as a team, bettering not only ourselves, but our fellow corpmates at all times.
In Dust, we also have a couple additional regulations, which if they cannot be met, the player will be referred to our training corp or our sister corp. This is not a denial, but rather us asking you to let us help improve your skills through hands-on training, metagame crunching, and overall improving mental strength.
In order to bypass this, your character must possess at least a 2.0 KD, a 2.0 WL, and must have at least 10 million sp.
We welcome any and all who are interested to apply, after which we will begin our screening process.

Spock!
I asked out of curiosity.
It is true that I'm growing and growing as a player in this game, but if I will ever feel like I want to be part of the most competitive dimension of DUST, that's something I'm going to discuss with my Corp mates before making any decision.
I hope Psygod9 will be back to PC soon.
Anyway, it would be painful to leave them... |
