Anyone that thinks the ADS aren't slower and less agile now obviously hasn't spent many hours flying them, the change has completely messed with the instincts and muscle memory i've built up with the ADS, i've gone from getting 15-30 kills a match in my incubus to getting 2... |

Signed. I'd like to see it return as an option. Perhaps R3 could just cycle between first person, 3rd person far (aka previous camera), and 3rd person close (aka current camera)? |

The new camera might be good for very situation, long distance, high speed, fighter style shooting. But beyond that it's worse for everything else I need to be able to do in the DS and it's not that I can't get used to it. It's that this removes my ability to access critical information about the environment as well as aiming other types of shots.
A toggle view would probably be best, since they went through the effort to try a new cam. But overall, yes. I'm liking 1.4 |

Other part of the problem is rendering seems to have been reduced. Like things don't render as far away (enemies, installations). Another thing I noticed is it's trickier to aim at something when you can't always see it's chevron but this might be part of the new squad vision change.
Am I supposed to see a chevron for a target I'm directly facing my gun at from 50+ meters? Or do I have to be closer, or does a teammate have to have them spotted? I'll have to do some testing on this to figure out if it's a bug or new mechanic |

Oh wait, the other thing.
Hence why most people here are suggestion to add it to the R3 cycle or something that keeps all options for different situations. In general I'd prefer my ADS not be locked into new camera. It's worse for pretty much Anything that isnt, as I said, shooting at a certain speed, distance and angle at certain times. |

I can't see what direction to turn my gunners or what they should be looking at which is terrible for synergy. If I can't line up shots for my gunners then they are both bored and useless.
*And before someone comes in here with the "realism" argument about god knows what remember that even automobiles have side and back mirrors, and in some cases even cameras. 1.3 third person is a representation of the awareness any vehicle like this would have, without needing to have multiple screens displaying mirrors or cameras to a first person flight simulator. |

The camera while flying is fairly hard to get used to as it changes where it is looking depending on what angle the ship is at, making any landing maneuver difficult as well as seeing the battlefield to drop mercs, avoid swarms and forges or identify where the enemy fire is coming from. I agree that a wider angle is better for dropship use, we are up in the air and should be able to see around the dropship rather than having the dropship take a full 1/3rd of the screen. |

Also we can't see our gunners health bars with this, so they have to keep track of it now. I use to be able to see their health, and take evasive for them while they were concentraiting on kills. Now I have no idea. |

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and put my vote in for "Keep both 1.3, and 1.4 cameras as Options".
1.4 is more like what first person should have been.
1.3 is the third person we need.
