So if your on on weds you get 3,000 but if you don't get on again till Friday you only get 3,500 for Friday, then 500+ for each one after that. So if you miss a day early in the "week" you don't lose as much as you do if you log in later. It's actually quite clever, as many people I think play weds-sat and cap out then not as many play on Sun-tues. This motivates people to at least log in, and then be more likely to play every day. Clever, ccp.

There's better reason to complain about Active and passive boosters before you complain about this trivial bonus.

If you only log in for 3 or 4 times a week its still 9000-12,000 more SP you wouldn't have had otherwise.

Pointless, and adds stress to life, this is supposed to be a game, yes it is a little more than that. You would get upset if i stole some sp from you, admit it. Im not saying they have, im saying it is a dumb system that will encourage burnout. Please change this CCP.

There's a HUGE difference between "losing" something and "not gaining" something. The friends in my example didn't "lose" candy by not visiting the night before. They GAINED candy by coming over when they did. If they had chosen not to visit at all, they would have nothing. They got something extra because they visited and we were good hosts. CCP are being good hosts. When you choose to visit their game, they offer you little things to show their appreciation. Playing the game gives you more SP than sitting around and never playing. And now, signing in and potentially appearing in chat will earn you a little more SP as well. There isn't a -X modifier being applied to your SP total because you didn't sign in. EDIT: Implying that this is bad because you're "losing" SP by not signing in, and saying lines like "you wouldn't like it if I stole your SP" make it clear that you see this as CCP taking something from you. You claim otherwise, but you're still thinking of this as a threat because you won't be getting something you didn't get before either.

If you had logged in six or more days consecutively prior to that weekend, so would've picked up 6,000 SP on Friday, I think you would lose: 6,000 SP Fri 6,000 SP Sat 6,000 SP Sun 3,000 SP Mon if you log in 2,500 SP Tue if you log in 2,000 SP Wed if you log in 1,500 SP Thurs if you log in 1,000 SP Friday if you log in 500 SP Saturday if you log in Grand total: 28,500 SP lost from missing three days. This is on the assumption that you immediately get reset to the base 3,000 SP if you miss a day. If the reset is more gradual (e.g. you miss a day, you get pushed down to 5,500 SP) then you would lose a bit less SP on Monday onwards. Can't say I'm too happy with the daily active bonus. It's a real kick in the teeth if you have to be away from home for any reason, like normal people have to be. I suppose they thought they had to give bitter vets a reason to log in after 1.4 makes AFKing harder.

You log in and maybe play which supports CCP with another player on the server count at the very least. There is already passive SP for people who can't play every single day, but they need to maximize their player count every day with whoever that can. As someone who has a loving fiancee, is a business owner, full time student, and can play maybe three days a week; i still think its pretty cool. Maybe I'll set aside some extra time so i can get some if that boost. I don't need a reward for my off-dust time because i get rewarded in money, sex, and college credits. Much better than a measly 500 sp.
