I'm posting again about the gallente assault dropsuits because the update wont solve our dilema, if youre gallente you'll undestand, if not, dont even bother replying because i dont give 2 fucks what you think.
First of all this update is reducing armor movement penalties and that doesnt solve the problem. I will still have to use armor repairers and because of that i wont be able to use more armor, so ill be weaker and slower, than a shield user, even after the update.
Dont give me that crap about gallente are meant to be armor,yall sound like 12 year olds that got told santa claus doesnt exist.
Its an FPS MMO, not a magic and sword MMO!
Assault means assault!!!As heavy means heavy!!!!
I beg CCP to consider this and try going with a gallente against any full proto from any other race, even an adv can woop yo ass.
Next time you get killed by a gallente just remember that youre going up against a slower oponent that has much less HP than you and recharges his HP slower,not to mention the fact that it is armor based and the shields are better against most weaponry except energy weapons, it also doesnt need 'repairers'.
Gallente players that score high are truelly skilled players, but if you notice, that is rare.
I used to be Caldari and i used to get 30 kills and i never died and that was with the type 2.
With the gallente proto i can get 20 kills max and that is against noobs in adv and std dropsuits.
Dont say its because every one is stronger now,i already took that into consideration, im not an idiot...
As for the update, i keep repeating myself, but thats mandatory at the moment, as the update will be out in the 29th.

Gallente assault should be treated as an assault, just because on eve the gallente are armor based ships, its just stupid to make an assault armor based, might as well start using a heavywith your duvolle, because as the word assault implies,we charge and conquer objectives, we are not defenders,we need mobility.
Its simply not fair.
Just make all assaults shield based regardless of their race, instead of coming up with ridiculous updates that literally just make me laugh.If youre gallente assault and you agree with me, post about it and make yourselves be heard!!!!

I read your post and the reason im posting before the update is OBVIOUSLY because i dont support the update, im totally against the update, its ridiulous.
We dont want more changes ,especially to shields and armor...
Most gallente will just run damage mods.
This update WILL create more problems and all gallente will end up going caldari anyway when they get a chance to respec...
I play a lot solo and test multiple load outs and i just stick to assault.
I always play with the same character.
I played as a caldari during beta, so I KNOW what im talking about.
You cant really test your theories if you go in a squad,i can go starter fit when im with a squad.
You need to first tesy it on the field and i have.
I thank you for your posts, but youre not really helping and just trying to prove me wrong, when you KNOW NOTHING about running a gallente assault in a 1 vs 1 battle against a caldari assault fast mover.

why are you trying to use a suit for what its not intended for? doing that will only lead to sadness because it wont end well
its like jumping off a cliff and trying to use a pillowcase as a parachute it won't end well because that's not a pillowcases intended purpose a gallente suit does not need 4 high slots.

i know they state this game is a sandbox and you make unique fittings and such but you can't make everything out of sand
so it is a sandbox but to make a fitting that is going to use shields its a good idea to spec into the suit that is meant for shields or it won't end well.

picture four different sandbox's each contains a different type of sand meant to make a certain type of sandcastle
then someone decides to make a sandcastle with one sand that another sand is meant for he makes the
sandcastle then it falls to the ground the person who made the sandcastle is now disappointed
because his sandcastle crumbled
even though it was his fault because he should have used the other sand to make that sandcastle,

make sense?

Just in case some of you dont know,mobility affects how fast you can move your target reticle as well...

i am aware of that might i suggest when you're wearing a slower suit upping your sensitivity

I am an armor tanker by choice, and I rack up kills in gallente med/assault just fine thank you very much.

I do not have less HP, because with two defensive mods I have over 600 HP. Hooray maxed defense skills and armor skills.

We want armor tanking to be equal to shields, not for you to try and take us on your little Magic Carpet Ride of Crazy.

If you want shields, spec caldari or Minmatar Get the hell out. Gallente and Amarr are my preferred races to run because I enjoy the **** out of armor tanking.

A lot of people pick gallente and amarr because we prefer armor fits and heavy buffer tank. It's a playstyle choice.

I love the feeling of being in a firefight with some idiot pouring it on, and having to reload to kill me. It's hilarious.

You can't do that with a shield tank.

No, what you're doing is arguing against a game mechanic that exists to promote diversity. Instead of respecting said game mechanic and adapting to the required play style or trying a different game mechanic, you want the developers to bend over backwards to what you want. Either spec into Caldari or Minmatar assault dropsuits or learn how to armor tank so that it can appease a play style you're looking for while still being armor. Whatever choice you make, be sure to grow up in the process.

your speed penalty is being cut in half and the turnspeed penalty for armor tankers is going away. rejoice and kill them.
