I'm posting again about the gallente assault dropsuits because the update wont solve our dilema, if youre gallente you'll undestand, if not, dont even bother replying because i dont give 2 fucks what you think.
First of all this update is reducing armor movement penalties and that doesnt solve the problem. I will still have to use armor repairers and because of that i wont be able to use more armor, so ill be weaker and slower, than a shield user, even after the update.
Dont give me that crap about gallente are meant to be armor,yall sound like 12 year olds that got told santa claus doesnt exist.
Its na FPS MMO, not a magic and sword MMO!
Assault means assault!!!As heavy means heavy!!!!
I beg CCP to consider this and try going with a gallente against any full proto from any other race, even an adv can woop yo ass.
Next time you get killed by a gallente just remember that youre going up against a slower oponent that has much less HP than you and recharges his HP slower,not to mention the fact that it is armor based and the shields are better against most weaponry except energy weapons, it also doesnt need 'repairers'.
Gallente players that score high are truelly skilled players, but if you notice, that is rare.
I used to be Caldari and i used to get 30 kills and i never died and that was with the type 2.
With the gallente proto i can get 20 kills max and that is against noobs in adv and std dropsuits.
Dont say its because every one is stronger now,i already took that into consideration, im not an idiot...
As for the update, i keep repeating myself, but thats mandatory at the moment, as the update will be out in the 29th.
Focus on what im going to say now...
Gallente assault should be treated as an assault, just because on eve the gallente are armor based ships, its just stupid to make an assault armor based, might as well start using a heavywith your duvolle, because as the word assault implies,we charge and conquer objectives, we are not defenders,we need mobility.
Its simply not fair.
Just make all assaults shield based regardless of their race, instead of coming up with ridiculous updates that literally just make me laugh.If youre gallente assault and you agree with me, post about it and make yourselves be heard!!!!

The SCr only does 30.5 dmg to armor which isnt bad considering it rpm is in the 700 hundreds |

I know a lot of guys that are badass with that suit. Gallente suits will be amazing with this update.
Coupled with a shield nerf it might end up breaking the game if/when CCP takes 4 months to rebalance. |

The Gallente are not nearly as awful as you claim them to be.
Oh, and it is ridiculous to claim the armour buff to be "FAIL" when you yourself have not experienced it first-hand. |

Sorry sky, i cant take you seriously with all the other ridiculous posts about this. i Shield tank and Armour tank. im a calogi and i wish i went galogi, for the equipment slot and so people would stop fluxing me!! so yeah you need to stop complaining, and maybe change your play style? Gallente assaults could use a bonus to Armor rep instead of shield. Who puts a shield bonus on a armor tanked suit?
1.4 will do a LOT for gallente, and amarr, but the assault will still lack because it has a crappy bonus. |

The assault role needs mobilty in order to survive against other assaults.
And ive been playing since January 26th...
Its not my playstyle i can kill proto heavies and proto gallente easy with just my 3 complex shields and no armor, just 3 armor repairers, why ?? MOBILITY!!
But agaisnt other assaults its whole new ball game! |

No iam not gallentee and that has absolutely nothing to do with balance,
First the update aint here yet so how do you know its a FAIL?
Armor has advantages shield does not for one the updated plates will have double the hp of a shield extender so even if you go half plate half rep then you are still getting as good as possibly better than a simular shield tank,
Having armor leave lots of high slots for damage mods very useful,
Lastly and defiantly not least rep tools will rep you fast a damn site better than a shields regen, this open up the option to buffer tank if you have a logi shield guys cant do that at all.
This is coming from someone who runs a minmatar assualt suit so i guess iam a damage and get out of their tank. |
