Yeah, they are high. The recoil can be a tad bit annoying, but it shreds through pretty much anything. Also, why is there an overheat mechanic? You can empty an entire clip and a half before overheating, so why have it in the first place?

Decrease the heat sink by a good 2 shots, and reduce damage mod bonuses by about 5%. Add fall-off damage to prevent redline abuse. Profit.
