Which one and why? I have used the gek 38 with prof 5. Thinking of trying out the assault CR. Is the gek 38 with prof 5 and shapshooter 5 worse or better that an assault CR with no prof or sharpshooter skill?

Upgrades are also affected as well as weapons ( dmg mods and prof). I want the SP back that I spent on dmg mods and proficiency! I did not spec into 5% complex dmg mods! Neither on proficiency to just shields OR armor. I want my SP back!
