The tank thing I made up was a simile, but anyway do you ever try recalling your HAV rather than waiting to regain full shields ^ ^, this is the new way to passively shield tank HAVs.

For example a HAV with 8000 shield and 24 shield recharge/s with no booster has a disadvantage, waiting until your MCC is at half shields so that you fully recharge is not viable.

I've seen trollsroyce deplete the entire clone reserve by going 104 kills 0 death with a thales. I've never seen any better sniper from that moment on, but ive yet to even see him in uprising.
