Can you list which guns specifically? I imagine it would make it easier for CCP to fix if they knew which ones are ok, and which ones aren't. I'm guessing the feel has to do with the weapon sounds, and animations when firing.

Buying ammo at supply depot seems odd to me, its a team asset, not a vending machine. That's like charging someone to spawn on a CRU. Having to buy ammo would be so damn tedious, just imagine that each gun is sold bundled to the ammo.
