TL;DR: Make EvE Legion the Marines of Space, with Ship boarding and POS capturing. Make Dust 514 the Army with capturing planets. Use both in FacWar and Planetary Conquest.

I could really be off on this, but I thought the payouts were based on the amount of equipment lost total between all players. If thats the case the one where you got more ISK there could have been someone trying to proto stomp and failing miserably.
