If there were no heavies I would never use my scout, honestly. I prefer assault, but I can't even get remotely close to killing a good proto heavy with my assault before he turns around and insta melts me.

DUST isn't real life though. HMG shreds my shotgun scout in about 1.5 seconds, and if they have logis on them? Forget about it! The only counter to HMG is another HMG, if the scout can't get 3 shots on the heavy before he turns around and insta ...
