Has anyone else destroyed thier controller playing this game? Mine didn't take to kindly to bouncing off the wall. How to explaine that one to my wife. Luckily I have a backup. Play on!

Yeah I've destroyed one. That's why I don't throw it at hard surfaces anymore

Alas, only MAG and BF3 and BF4 have made me break controllers. I was a closed beta vet so I got used to the BS in dust early on. |

I am ashamed to admit I destroyed 4 Sony controllers in about a 2 month period.
The staff at my local Best Buy knew me by name.
It wasn't while playing DUST it was while playing Red Dead Redemption's on line mode several years ago.
It had this barrel roll mechanic that made it impossible to shoot the player. So the go to move was to barrel roll through a doorway and then shotgun blast to the gut.
What do those things run? $60 apiece? Expensive lesson.
I still rage just in a less expensive manner.

I haven't actually broken a controller while playing DUST.
I feel like a saint.
Then I realise that I've probably nearly broken the PS3 on multiple occasions.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

I nearly have done but I have self control. Every time I see a scout drop a remote explosive at my feet and blow himself up to kill me makes me scream though. Happened so much lately. |

had a flimsy ps3 controller; broke it in half trying to move the unresponsive hav. Bought a Xbox styled ps3 controller haven't broken it since.

I am still on the original PS3 controller that came in the box when I bought the thing for the closed beta.
I suggest another poster was correct in suggesting anger management. :)

My analog sticks are wearing down and are hypersensitive but I've never broken a controller in any other game for any reason.
I did have a mouse that I broke for becoming critically non-responsive though. Ended up replacing it with something much much better.

Yeah I'm kidding, well almost. Seriously if you get that stressed take a break.
I'm lucky enough to be emotionally blunt, so I don't experience much frustration from things.
If I was like how I was as a kid it would've been bad. I once, as a kid, gripped a PSP so hard from anger and frustration that I cracked the screen harshly.(I was playing God Of War Chains Of Olympus, on god mode. The anger was the kind you get when you've gotten so far and couldn't finish something. Final boss battle stress in a nutshell.....) |

no nicholas, soo much frustration and the controller was wearing out. cloakie scout w/shotgun came up behind and when i turned, vehicle menu popped up. dead. pissed. controller up against the wall. end of story.

I have only ever thrown one controller in the several years of playing online games.
It was in this game. 800 hours of BF3, not a single controller thrown. I threw my first controller during the Cal Logi days, as a new character trying to be a Minmatar Scout.
I threw it. I knew it was stupid. Haven't done it since.
