I'd be ok with an optional premium subscription similar to what other free to play games have. Premium should include both passive and active boosters as always on, some aurum to spend in the store and some perks (like an upgraded quaters)

Well going by the recent financial statement CCP is still putting money into it, so yeah it's still going. Personally I think it has been greenlit. What hasn't been greenlit is permission to share it with the rest of the community which I suspect...

I backed star citizen, mainly because they aspire to be the complete scifi simulation that EVE once aspired to be. And if it flops, well it's hardly the first time I've wasted money on a game that failed to live up to expectations *looks at Dust*...
