Running a tank with no boosters or hardeners shows that you are not a good tanker. Having a deep HP pool doesn't mean anything in Dust. It is all about the resistances. I am completely trash in tanks, and even I know that.

If you call down a proto tank solo in a pub you are doing it wrong. If forge gunners are getting to you, have your infantry move in and clear them out. If they can't, don't bring tanks down until you can find a real squad.
