I was informed in IRC to direct these questions to you, so here you go.
I have many issues about supremacy goods on the market place, and most of them are concerned about the next build, especially as there will be no player trading of any form, as confirmed by Foxfour in the reddit AMA.
My main point of contention stems from the fact that it was very clearly stated in the Dust Keynote from last year that the game would not be P2W, and that there would be no advantage to any AUR item over an ISK variant.
As we have seen however, there has recently been an upswing in supremacy goods, and even the return of a certain item that was removed.
What has me worried is the impact this will have on PC if these items are still available come May 7th.
My questions are:
1. Does CCP intend to remove these items before PC hits?
2. Is the goal of these goods to drive aurum sales for PC, or are they there to test community desire for such goods?
Thank you in advance if you take the time to answer these questions.
Please, anyone else, I am not trying to start a debate on if these items are supremacy goods. I am also not trying to have a discussion on how it will be fair when the market comes out.

Based on info from the reddit AKA, I also have another question.
CCP Jian said it was not your intention to have such items. What I want to know is how exactly that is supposed to be anything other than a huge joke.
Is it the position of CCP that these goods were made accidental? If not, how do you explain someone obviously creating the item, as well as the item description, which makes explicit the benefits of the item? Are you going to really throw some coder under the bus as a rogue agent for making P2W items?

Yup. Until they added this new damage mod I'd have argued with El General all night but now I've got his back on this.
I fear CCP won't respond in a meaningful way just yet. But I hope I'm wrong about that because I seriously want to know what the hell is going on. |

Well, we'll see if CCP Jian or anybody else from CCP responds to my (I think comprehensive) list.
Link to thread if anybody needs it.
If there are any other items that should be on this list, please let me know.
Thanks for making this thread to bring this up here as well. |

I wish you would ask JIan why "It is out intention to not have AUR items like this that do not have ISK alternative" did CCP just add even more of these things to the game in the last day or so? |

Well, Jian asked me to point out specific items, so that's what I did. Frankly, I was happy to get a reply at all, so I was trying to keep it more in the realm of information and less confrontation. I do agree that his response is somewhat worrisome though; obviously people at CCP knew these items existed before I made that list. |

This belongs on the front page. This issue is especially important with PC coming in the next build.

I would turn around and say.. Well, we have this AUR item that has lower CPU and PG requirements.. yet, no other real benefits....
Doesn't alkways apply, but look at this line-up:
Repair Tools
Core Repair Tool Allows two targets to be repaired Cost: 23,000 ISK
Lai Dai Flux Repair Tool Extended Range of Repair Cost: 23,000 ISK
Six Kin Triage Repair Tool Better Dropsuit repairs, not as good at vehicle and Installation. Cost: 33,320 ISK
These above 3 have NO AUR cost. Why can't someone with money buy any of the above?
The AURUM Repair tool is thus: 'Schizm' Viziam Repair Tool Lower CPU and PG Requirement Cost: 90 AUR
It repairs the same amount as the Lai Dai, with the Shorter Range of the Core.

Jackal, there are plenty of other threads to try and debate this matter in. Use them. This is only for a response from CCP on the matter. |

Ah, sorry I did a pretty lazy search before posting a similar thread. But yes, I agree this is important and needs to be addressed by CCP. |

Still waiting, but I am hopeful that when the spreadsheet shows up in the next dev blog, that the items are removed.
Fingers crossed at the death of supremacy goods.

They claimed these items would be removed in the pre-Fanfest livestream, I would like to think that will actually be true.
I would still appreciate an actual conversation with CCP about these questions, particularly question 2 or similar (what the goal was in introducing these items). But since on the livestream their response seemed to be claiming it was all just a huge mistake, I kind of doubt we'll get that. Personally, I'll be satisfied if the supremacy goods actually are removed. |
