They said we'll keep all "applicable" DUST stuff. Rename all the items which have BPO versions, change how SP works and rename all skills. Anything which kept the same name except SP is kept. BPOs will all be gone. Most of our gear will be gone...

Nope. What we SHOULD get is an announcement that DUST 514 is getting a reboot for an actually semi-competent release, and being renamed Project Legion. It will still be on PS3, but some of the upcoming future content will be exclusive to the PS4...
