Real Life has nothing to do with this game. The problem with slayer-logis is that there's no real benefits to being Assault (Unless you're going Amarr with Laser/Scrambler). Personally, I use a logi suit for my sniper, because I have more PG/CP...

You can melee from sprint pretty instantly. It's called the melee glitch. I can support sprinting to a sort of slide or roll into crouching, to break the momentum. But Reloading, Shooting, Dropping Equipment, Tossing Grenades should still be out...
