I dunno if it's necessary. Usually a quick glance will tell you if the cockpit is empty. That, or the dropship would explode anyway considering that the pilot bailed from certain death. I don't use dropships much though.

I disagree. I think militia vehicles should stay; maybe nerf them if need be (though they're pretty weak as it is), but I think they're a great way to let people dip their toes into vehicle use without going horrifically broke from the expense.
