There should be an alarm and big screen notification that tells you when the driver of the vehicle you're in has abandoned ship. A lot of annoying deaths happened because of pilots ditching without warning, leaving dropships to crash.
This a minor request, and not really all that necessary. |

A dropship descending always makes me look to the bottom left to see its health. If it keeps going downward regardless of its health, I tend to jump out, unless the pilot's proven himself to be awesomely acrobatic beforehand.
It would be nice to see a big, noticeable "NO PILOT" pop up somewhere, bottom/top of the screen centered, if a dropship is in the air and has, you know, no pilot. It's not necessary if it's on the ground, because one person can use it as a turret at that point, and it'd just be annoying if it was there while you were shooting from a stationary position (and asking to die, really, I've never seen that end well for the gunner). |

The controls for driving should be able to be switched to use the joysticks or the L1 R1 or L2 R2 triggers. |

I dunno if it's necessary. Usually a quick glance will tell you if the cockpit is empty. That, or the dropship would explode anyway considering that the pilot bailed from certain death.
I don't use dropships much though. |

Pilot bailing is just like ejecting your pod in EVE... except theres other guys who don't know what's happening until they're in another clone.
I would like a NO PILOT warning as well. Would need a sound too, something different from the low-health alerts but still just as desperate-sounding as the "low structure" starship warning. When you hear that one, you KNOW you're screwed! |

It's not always good idea to abandon dropship. Me as a pilot, with my crew, 2 rocket gunners, and randomly spawned Mercs, took A and B, and destroyed 2 dropships and 3 tanks with 8% of armor (I had 8% when we started to hack A and then B with fights in the middle) Good shield management made Us almost indestructible....Before I was hit by the turrets  ...so plz...spawn in dropships because I can't do it all by my self, and don't be afraid to jump down to battle  |
