get rid of them. Now the idea of soldiers that cant die, great! The idea that someone would give them free tanks and dropships for whatever crazy purpose not so great. Add to that that something militia dropships unbalance the game. They become turrets to be placed on the highest tower and positioned to shoot down.... thats it. Or transport the sniper to the highest perch so he can go 17/0 and before somebody turns on the flames and says something about how frustrated I am about being sniped from those towers. I am not, why? because Ive been the guy up in those towers going 17-0. This is how I know it needs to go. Just make people pay their buck O five for the damn vehicles. |

I believe they're only in for the BETA test. As far as I know, at launch, all vehicles will have to be purchased |

I'm fine with this. As long as they're not terribly expensive. Hopefully they test this later on in the BETA. |

As is mine, and it is chewing up those deliciously squishy militia vehicles with reckless abandon. And it is still only running on the militia turrets. another few hundred k SP and I'm changing that.
I'm adding the reckless because I do lose one every 3 or 4 rounds.
Edit: Btw, I'm very curious what they are bringing out for the advanced (HAV L4) and prototype (HAV L5) level tanks :P |

I agree. I really do hope militia vehicles are only for the beta. The vehicles are fun, and add a great deal tot he game. The ability to spam them is just a bit ridiculous. |

I'm pretty certain they are only for the beta, to allow new players to drive a vehicle.

If they do this then there needs to be pilot starting class so it doesn't take as long to get into driving if you want to get into it.
Training all the necessary skills to get just the basic level tank is taking forever >_> |

they screwed up the damage on malitia Large railguns (GA and nomal have damage mixed up) so now a Sica GA railgun could probly kill my gunloggi missle i know that turret killed it in 2-4 shots on a gunloggi. and also its strang to have every one on your team call in a dropship at the beggining of the game |

Militia vehicles are there to give players a better idea of vehicle combat without forcing them to train a bunch of skills. They won't always be like this though. They want to keep them so that they require to skillpoints to use, but only the LAV will remain a BPO (Unlimited and free)
The rest of the vehicles will remain as they are, except that players will start off with a certain stock of them. Once those run out, they will still be able to get militia vehicles, but they will need to pay ISK for them. By that point though, they will likely have trained into the higher tier vehicle of their choice.
I just want to say though, that this 'tower stuff' is still going to happen even if a dropship is not free. Last build I had a completely unfit dropship (25k ISK) that I would use to perch myself wherever I pleased, throw a drop uplink and then abandon the ship. I'd still make a profit that round even if I did absolutely nothing up in my perch. The militia vehicles aren't the problem. It's the fact that nobody bothers to counter you, making it a viable strategy. |

I do find it dumb you can call in a ton of vehicles at no cost. There needs to be a cost, even if it's small. |

I hope they aren't permanent, although they probably are necessary if we're going to really test the crap out of them before launch |

Militia dropships are complete bullsh*t though.
Also, if militia vehicles must be purchased and no longer free, then their costs should be lowered. I don't think a brittle militia tank should cost as much as a full fledged one (admittedly, some proper fitting can counter this a bit). |

They will cost, but they will be dirt cheap. You'll always be able to afford them, but it will nearly always make sense to use a non militia vehicle for sheer usefulness. |
