I recommend looking into exploration as a way to make money, its probably a few months off for you skill wise, but its all i bother to do these days, can make a billion isk in a few hours if I put my mind to it.

The player sucks it up finds ways to compete and grinds his way up into the same equipment, like people do in other FPS games, I see players doing this every day when they fight me, they run for the hills and snipe, or grab a shot gun and sneak up...
